Bride Of The Week: Kalyssa Woodcock

Kalyssa and Mark met at a bar in Minneapolis. She remembers telling a friend she thought he was cute but not having the courage to approach him. About half an hour later, Mark walked up, introduced himself, and asked if he could buy her a drink. He asked her to dinner the next night, and they have been together ever since. On December 26, 2024, he surprised her with a proposal in Colorado Springs. Kalyssa thought she was attending a family photo shoot at The Broadmoor Hotel, where her parents had married 34 years earlier, but Mark had flown in from Minnesota and proposed on a bridge across the lake. Afterward, she discovered his family had flown in too, and they celebrated together over dinner.

On the wedding day, Kalyssa felt confident, comfortable, and completely herself. Mark was speechless during their first look, and she couldn’t stop admiring the intricate lace and pearl details. Looking back, she loved seeing all the details come together, from the florals and chandelier above the head table to the monogrammed dance floor. With the help of planner Krista of Devasco’s Daughters Design and florist Dani of Studio Fleurette, the celebration felt personal and full of thoughtful touches.
