Inside GL Bride Polina Khrom’s Heart-Filled Wedding in a Custom Galia Lahav Gown

For Polina Khrom and her husband, their wedding was a celebration of love in every sense. Hearts appeared throughout the day, from Polina’s custom gown and jewelry to the heart-shaped dance floor, while handwritten notes for every guest made the celebration feel even more personal.

Their story began on Hinge and eventually led to a proposal that felt like something out of a movie. At the Pérez Art Museum Miami, Polina thought she was simply arriving early to see an exhibition before a work gala. Instead, she discovered a painting of the two of them getting engaged hanging on the wall.

“Seeing a painting of us at the museum was so magical”

-Polina

Hearts became the theme of their wedding, appearing throughout the day in ways that were both beautiful and meaningful. Polina’s custom gown featured pink hearts, while she wore heart-shaped diamond jewelry that she designed herself as a jewelry designer and co-founder of AMARYZ. Even the dance floor followed the theme. But one of the details that touched their guests most was something much more personal: handwritten notes for each person attending, filled with memories and thoughtful words, accompanied by a photo of them together.

“It felt incredibly special—like I was living my dream in real life”

-Polina

When it came to her gown, Polina already knew she wanted to incorporate hearts into the design as a symbol of love. Inspired by Galia Lahav’s use of pink details in previous designs, she reached out to the team about creating a custom gown of her own. Together, they developed the idea and brought her vision to life. After trying on between 30 and 50 gowns, she knew this was the one because it was more than a gown she loved, it was a vision that belonged entirely to her. Working with the Miami team throughout the sketching, design, and tailoring process made the experience even more special.
