Our gorgeous bride of the week, Michelle Zohar, looked absolutely stunning in our Tokyo gown on her big day! Michelle and her fiance's beautiful ceremony took place in Los Angeles, and it was a day to remember. In the following interview, we get a closer look at Michelle's wedding day and how she styled our Tokyo gown! As told by Michelle:

A moment of your wedding day will you never forget?

One moment I won’t forget is the moment of my first look with my husband. To see the reaction of his face when I had my dress on was unforgettable. He was completely shocked and so in love it was so magical, I got butterflies all over again.

One thing you wish you knew as a new bride? What advice would you give to future brides?

One thing I wish that I knew as a bride would be to not sweat all the small stuff; everything will come together as it should. Everything almost felt so last minute but also like it was happening all at once which caused me so much stress. In the end, it was all worth it and I would do it a million times over. My advice would be to plan and start early, no matter how early it feels you will be thankful for it later when all the little things must come together and all at once.

A detail that made your wedding special/unique?

We choreographed a routine to perform for everyone and had these 1920’s Flapper Girl performers. It was the most unique experience ever!

How did you know your dress was 'the one'?

This was actually like a really intuitive moment. I saw the dress on Galia Lahav’s Instagram only one time and they never posted it again. I screenshotted it. I had this feeling that I knew when I tried it on it would be the one. I booked an appointment for the trunk show and the first image that popped up when I booked it was the Tokyo dress I just knew it was even more of a sign.

How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding? What was everyone's reaction to the dress?

I felt so regal, so classy, and super intelligent. The Tokyo dress was a dress that nobody has ever seen before, it isn’t your typical wedding dress. When everyone saw it, they were either speechless, their jaws dropped, or they would tell me it was made for me, “the most perfect dress they’ve ever seen.” Truly this dress was a showstopper.

Would you have done anything differently?

I wouldn’t change one thing about anything, I want to relive my wedding and the moments in my dress every day. It was truly the most special day of my entire life.

What was your favourite part of the wedding to plan/you were most looking forward to?

My favorite part was definitely choreographing a surprise performance with my husband and surprising the guests (especially in my one-of-a-kind dress). It was the most fun and thrilling experience I’ve ever taken part in and it created really special memories for us.

How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?

We actually met through his dad. I went to a family barbecue and his dad came up to me and said, “You’re so beautiful…I have a son” and then proceeded to take a photo of me to send it to him. It was the most Israeli way of matchmaking, but I am so thankful for that moment. A few days later, my now husband texted me and then the rest was history…I felt like the stars aligned and he was meant to come into my life. Without that moment or if I didn’t show up to that barbecue, there would be no us.

How did you find working with the team at Galia Lahav?

Working with Galia Lahav felt like a luxury experience; every member is so helpful and they will do anything for you to make you feel comfortable in addition to making sure every detail of your dress is perfect for your special day. I truly had the smoothest experience. My dress was done on time and actually earlier than expected.

How many dresses did you try on before you found it?

I knew Tokyo was the one from the very beginning, but the team told me I had to try on at least a few so I can rule out all the other styles I didn’t like. After about 5 dresses, I went back to Tokyo and picked it. My heart was on Tokyo from the moment I saw it in a picture and then in real life it was even more of a dream.
