Meet Julie, our Bride of the Week, who looked absolutely stunning in our G-104 gown from the GALA NO. VI collection. Julie's wedding took place at the picturesque 99 ROWS Venue & Vine, offering breathtaking lake and mountain views amidst rolling vineyards. In the following interview, Julie shares some pearls of wisdom for brides-to-be and highlights the personal touches that made her wedding truly unique! As told by Julie:

A moment of your wedding day you will never forget?

I will never forget my husband walking down the aisle with our 21-month-old son. After canceling our initial plans to get married in  2020 (due to COVID), we decided to not put life on hold, and having our son be a part of our wedding ceremony was a literal dream come true! It made the day even more special, intimate,  and filled with love. I will also never forget the dance party – it was beyond epic! I wish I could relive it every day for the rest of my life ha.

One thing you wish you knew as a new bride? What advice would you give to future brides?

I  had received a lot of advice telling me how quickly the day goes by, so I was very intentional about enjoying every moment. My advice to future brides would be just that – take a moment to yourself and with your partner to soak in the abundance of love that surrounds you. These moments are rare and so special!

A detail that made your wedding special/unique?

We tried our best to make the day personal to us and not too formal/stuffy to ensure that everyone had the best time! We had a close friend officiate which made our ceremony unique, an acoustic singer play during our cocktail hour and first dance which made the setting so intimate, and a custom seating chart with hand-written “thank you” cards to let each one of our guests know how special they are to us, and five custom cocktails to get the party started!

How did you know your dress was “the one”?

Going into the wedding dress shopping process, I  knew that I wanted something unique, yet timeless and elegant. When I tried on my dress, it took my breath away and I couldn’t stop thinking about it from the moment that I had tried it on. Galia Lahav’s attention to detail and fit is truly next to none.

How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding? What was everyone’s reaction to the dress?

Oh man, I felt amazing! It is not every day that you get the opportunity to dress up and my dress made me feel so confident and special. Not to mention, the help of my hair and makeup team was just the icing on the cake. It was perfect!

Would you have done anything differently?

Honestly, not a single thing. The day was perfect and so much fun!

What was your favourite part of the wedding to plan/you were most looking forward to?

Our wedding took place on a vineyard in a glass house overlooking the lake and seeing all the details come together, was nothing short of magic. From the meandering floral ceremony aisle to the draped glass house filled with creamy tones and hues of pastel, the setting honestly took my breath away.

How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?

My husband and I met in high school  and reconnected later on a dating app. He proposed at our favorite spot in the city that we live in. We were on a walk and I turned around to see a sign wrapped around our dog saying “Mom,  will you marry my Dad?”. It was completely unexpected!

How did you find working with the team at Galia Lahav?

Working with the team at Galia Lahav was so much fun! Trying on dresses was one of the best parts of planning a wedding and they made me feel so special since day one. Also, the entire process from start to finish was seamless and not stressful in the slightest.

How many dresses did you try on before you found it?

I only tried on two dresses before trying on my wedding dress and at that moment, I knew that I had found “the one”. I could not stop thinking about it! My “second look” dress was also one of the first dresses that I tried on when I  went back. I knew that I wanted something completely different for a second look and the metallic blush silk organza with the thigh-high slit, literally took my breath away. Bury me in that dress!
