Introducing our lovely new GL Bride, Lindsey! She said "I do" to her fiance Josh in Costa Rica, looking absolutely gorgeous in our Idyllia gown. In the following interview, Lindsey shares the details surrounding her stunning wedding day and some precious words of wisdom for soon-to-be GL brides. As told by Lindsey:

A moment of your wedding day will you never forget?

I won’t forget the moment I met Josh at the end of the aisle or the feeling I felt during our vows. Trying to be so present and soak up every minute.

One thing you wish you knew as a new bride? What advice would you give to future brides?

DO NOT SWEAT THE SMALL THINGS. Make a decision before the wedding weekend to just be okay with things that go wrong, big or small. The whole weekend really will set off the tone of the bride so remember that. Our energy is so powerful and so breathtaking. Just be so grateful for everything that is going on around you and for the fact you get to marry your best friend.

A detail that made your wedding special/unique?

Our wedding was in Costa Rica- so this is the major detail that made it very unique for Josh & me as well as for our families and friends!

How did you know your dress was 'the one'?

My dress spoke to me as soon as I put her on… I started crying out of nowhere so I took that as a sign that it was THE ONE.

How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding? What was everyone's reaction to the dress?

I felt so confident in my dress, I felt like it just made me stand up tall and most importantly I knew this was the dress that I wanted to marry Josh in. Everyone’s reaction to first seeing me in the dress was so special- they just reassured me that it was THE ONE and they were crying too!

Would you have done anything differently?

Honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing, truly the entire weekend was pure bliss. Every detail was perfect & any hiccups that we did smooth over without anyone noticing.

What was your favourite part of the wedding to plan/you were most looking forward to?

I truly loved planning the whole entire weekend, I think that was part of who I had helping & guiding me but the reception was very fun to plan. It is hard to choose just one event I was looking forward to the most besides the actual ceremony itself but my favorite night was the rehearsal dinner. The view, the speeches & the intimacy of the night were very special to us.

How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?

We actually met in middle school so we have known each other for a long time but we reconnected in the past couple of years and the rest is history. He surprised me with a beach engagement, we live on Anna Maria Island and it was perfect. After the engagement he had a whole dinner set up on the beach with my parents and his mom, it was a very special night!

How did you find working with the team at Galia Lahav?

I LOVED MY TEAM! Truly my Galia Lahav Miami-based team was what made my whole dress experience that much more special. Every fitting I was welcome and loved on, I am very grateful for all the beautiful women that helped me!

How many dresses did you try on before you found it?

I tried on 2 dresses before I tried on Idyllia! It is still the most beautiful dress I have ever seen- the dress itself set the tone for the whole wedding! Anticipation was built but once the dress was made and shipped my weekends to Miami became very frequent. It seemed like I floated through each fitting, honestly every time I would leave I would be on an absolute high. To some, it is a dress to others it is art, to me it is a work of art. I have always believed what we wear is powerful, it is a beautiful way to express ourselves and it makes a statement before a word is even spoken. The insane time and construction that went into this gown and veil were incredible, the beading, the lace, the appliqués… the intricacies of each detail was completely perfection.

How many dresses did you try on before you found it?

ALL of Galia Lahav’s dresses are masterpieces but this one was THE ONE.  A huge thank you to Sandy Kari for making it the most special experience ever… grateful to be a Galia Lahav bride.
