A moment of your wedding day will you never forget?

I gifted my dad a handkerchief embroidered with a letter I wrote him when I was a little girl. He used the handkerchief during his father of the bride speech and talked about what it meant to him, just such an emotional and forever memory for me.

One thing you wish you knew as a new bride? What advice would you give to future brides?

Expect the unexpected…I planned three days of outdoor events on an island expecting perfect weather, only for an almost hurricane to roll in that week. All of our plans went from Plan A to Plan B to Plan XYZ but it still ended up being a perfect weekend because we were surrounded with the people we love most. Just remember that even with all of the time you invested in your perfect vision, unexpected things can happen out of your control but no one else knows what Plan A was and everyone will have a great time.


A detail that made your wedding special/unique?

We worked with a local artist who had never done wedding design before. I was such a fan of her work that I asked if she would be open to being our designer and she created one of a kind designs for everything from our crest to invitation suite to napkins that perfectly evoked the feeling of Jupiter Island.

What was your favourite part of the wedding to plan/you were most looking forward to?

We planned three days and nights of events to get the most time with our guests as possible. Having all of our favorite people in one place – and watching them all mingle with people they didn’t know before the wedding, that was one of the best feelings in the world.


How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?

We met through a mutual friend when we both moved from New York to Los Angeles. It was right at the peak of the pandemic so we got really close really fast going on walks on the beach, cooking at home, etc. He proposed at Hotel Bel Air, which is a gorgeous and historic hotel, because he wanted a place we could go back to for years to come. He surprised me with a staycation at the hotel after proposing on their lawn surrounded by white swans and champagne – it was super romantic.
