There’s something timeless about the bond between a mother and daughter—especially on a wedding day. It’s in the gentle squeeze of a hand before walking down the aisle, the shared tears during a final fitting, the quiet wisdom passed down through generations.
This Mother’s Day, we honor that connection through the eyes of three real Galia Lahav brides, each sharing a cherished moment with the woman who stood beside them—not just in life, but in love, legacy, and lace.
If you could describe an angel on earth I would say it’s my mom. She has a heart of gold, and is the most selfless person I’ve ever met. God truly blessed me with the best. My mom & I have been best friends my entire life. Being able to share my wedding day with her & her helping me into my dress was a moment I will never forget. I also wouldn’t have chosen anyone else to walk with my daughter down the aisle.
Becoming a Mother to my baby girl Honey has been such an honor & blessing. She truly has forever changed my life for the better, and I love being her Mumma. She’s the sweetest little girl, and I thank the Lord every day for her. I loved having my daughter share our wedding day with us, and watching her & my husband dance to “My girl” was the cutest thing ever. Honey also wore a blue bow on her flower girl dress & was my “something blue”. Motherhood is my greatest joy, love, & purpose. I admire Mothers in knowing how much work, sacrifice & love is poured into their children everyday.

My mothers’s reaction was a mix between admiration for how beautiful her daughter looked at her wedding day, and a sense of bittersweet realization that her little girl is all grown up. The moment itself was filled with overwhelming love, memories from my childhood and adolescence, and bubbling excitement for the future.
One of the most special moments of my entire wedding was having the private moment of getting dressed with my mom and my grandmother.
The day was very busy with everyone getting ready in my room but once it was time for me to get dressed, we had everyone leave other than my mom and grandmother to have a quiet moment together. We were able to take a moment to absorb the entire day and admire all of the details of my wedding dress and accessories.
My mom and I had worked so hard to put the wedding together and finalize every detail, so it was such a sweet moment to take a breath and enjoy all the work come to life.
This moment was so amazing getting to put on my dream dress with the two women I love most in my life.
I paired my dress with a handkerchief wrapped around my bouquet that my grandmother and great grandmother wore on their wedding day. It was so special and meant so much to me.
