Bride of the Week: Yasmin & Michal’s Love Story, A Day That Felt Entirely Their Own

Bride of the Week: Yasmin & Michal’s Love Story, A Day That Felt Entirely Their Own

Written By Lisa Chorna

Some weddings feel larger than life. Others feel deeply personal — where every detail reflects exactly who the couple is. For Yasmin and Michal, their wedding day was never about perfection, but about presence — creating a celebration that felt warm, intimate, and entirely their own.

From the quiet moments spent getting ready surrounded by their closest people to walking together toward the chuppah, every part of the day felt intentional. As Are You Ready for Love by Elton John played, Yasmin looked around at the smiling faces and happy tears and realized they had arrived exactly where they were meant to be.

“I just felt like everything had led us to exactly that moment. It was perfect.”

- Yasmin

A Proposal Story Written for Two

Like many modern love stories, Yasmin and Michal first met through Instagram. Their first date came quickly — and from that very first evening, something felt different.

“It just felt right. Like we were both exactly where we were supposed to be. I felt seen by her from the very beginning.”

When it came time to get engaged, things unfolded in a way neither of them expected. It had always been understood that Yasmin would be the one to propose, but after joking for months that she was waiting for Michal to do it instead, she secretly planned a surprise proposal of her own. What she didn’t know was that Michal had secretly bought a ring too.

“She pulled it out right then and there. We both proposed on the same day, both with rings. Very us.”

Finding “The One” — Unexpectedly

Like many brides, Yasmin arrived with a completely different dress in mind. But then, at the last moment, she saw another gown. Without overthinking it, she knew.

“It was quiet but striking, classic but with something unexpected about it. The second I put it on, it felt like me.”

After trying just one dress beforehand, her second gown — found at Galia Lahav — became the one. And on the wedding day?

“I felt really beautiful — but in a calm way, not overwhelming. The dress has this quality of being understated and present at the same time, and that’s exactly how I wanted to feel.”

The reactions around her said everything.

Creating a Wedding That Felt Like Home

From the beginning, Yasmin and Michal focused less on creating an event and more on creating a feeling. They wanted guests to feel comfortable, cared for, and connected — not like attendees, but like they were part of something meaningful. Every decision reflected that vision.

From choosing Chavat Ronit as their venue to designing the atmosphere of the day together, the couple centered every detail around warmth, family, and love.

“We wanted the whole day to feel like us.”

Looking back, Yasmin wouldn’t change a thing.

“Everything that came up along the way — every challenge, every moment of doubt — brought us to the day feeling more ready and more ourselves.”

Her advice for future brides? Trust the process. Don’t chase perfection. Be present.

Because the day goes by faster than you think. And when it does, what stays with you are the moments you truly allowed yourself to feel.

A Final Note

“Just that I hope every bride gets to feel what I felt — a day that's truly yours, with the people who matter most around you. And a dress that makes you feel both beautiful and completely yourself.”

Thank you, Yasmin and Michal, for letting us be part of your story.
