Bride Of The Week: Rebecka Kurt
Written By Kaileah Searcy
Our stunning GL Bride Rebecka brought effortless glamour to her wedding day in the Scarlett gown. Her celebration was filled with extraordinary details, from an aerial acrobat performance and live violinists to a first dance that felt like a true “we made it” moment.
Today, we’re sharing Rebecka’s story — from finding her perfect gown with us to the meaningful touches that made her celebration one-of-a-kind. With heartfelt advice for future GL Brides and a whirlwind love story that began in Dubai, Rebecca’s wedding beautifully reflected her journey and style. As told by Rebecka:
“I’ve never received as many compliments for anything in my life as I did for my dress!!"

A moment of your wedding day will you never forget?
When we had our first dance as officially married — what a “we made it” moment!
One thing you wish you knew as a new bride? What advice would you give to future brides?
The only advice I would give is to follow your gut. It’s your wedding and no one else’s. Don’t invite people you don’t feel comfortable having there just to make a family member happy. There’s one night in life you’re allowed to be selfish and make it your own — so do it!
A detail that made your wedding special/unique?
As our guests entered the reception, we had an aerial acrobat performing alongside violinists, and people absolutely loved it!

How did you know your dress was 'the one'?
I wasn’t expecting too much while trying on dresses — but then I randomly picked this one and tried it. I’ve always wanted a fitted gown with lace in an off-white/eggshell color, and this dress had it all. It fit like a glove and gave me that “wow” feeling. I walked out of the dressing room and all my friends gave me that “yes, that’s the one” look. That’s how I knew!
How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding? What was everyone's reaction to the dress?
I’ve never received as many compliments for anything in my life as I did for my dress! Everyone was so in love with it — the lace, the craftsmanship, the details. It really showed, and people couldn’t stop raving about it.
“The only advice I would give is to follow your gut. It’s your wedding and no one else’s.”

Would you have done anything differently?
No, I wouldn’t. I’m so thankful for how my day turned out, and I wouldn’t change it for the world!
What was your favorite part of the wedding to plan/you were most looking forward to?
I didn’t enjoy the planning process too much, to be fair. But if I had to choose, I’d say testing our dinner menu — haha.
How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?
We met while we were both on separate holidays in Dubai. We decided to meet up a few weeks after we came home, and four months later we got legally married and moved in together because we couldn’t stay away from each other. One year later, we celebrated with the wedding of our dreams!
How did you find working with the team at Galia Lahav?
It truly was amazing. I’m so happy and grateful I chose a Galia Lahav dress — it was everything I had ever dreamed of!
How many dresses did you try on before you found it?
Five dresses in total!
