“I knew it was the one when I tried on the Galia Lahav G-404.”

A moment of your wedding day you’ll never forget?
One moment we’ll never forget happened during our wedding portraits. Our photographer, Jaymo, suggested we step outside to take photos with the iconic Wall Street bull, just outside our venue. I was nervous about getting my dress dirty before the ceremony, but we decided it was worth the risk, and my cathedral-length Monvieve veil would likely cover any marks if needed.
There was a long line of tourists waiting, but the second they saw us, they let us skip to the front and started cheering. Every time Jaymo asked us to kiss, the crowd erupted into applause, growing louder with each shot. It was such a beautiful moment, absolute strangers from all over the world celebrating us.
Then, our incredible planner Rachel Seidner-Freedman and the bridal attendants from Legacy Events literally stopped city traffic so we could run through the streets for photos. For a brief moment, it felt like the entire city of New York paused just for us. It was spontaneous and absolutely unforgettable.

A detail that made your wedding special or unique?
I loved that it was a destination wedding, and the people who really mattered were there for us. I truly felt the love and support from everyone in our lives.
How did you know your dress was "The One"?
I knew it was the one when I decided to try the Galia Lahav G-404 first, and immediately afterward, nothing else felt the same. I was trying so hard not to admit it because I thought, how ridiculous - the first one I try on, and I can’t find anything else? But I tried it on again and knew I was not wrong. It was the one.

How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding? What was everyone's reaction?
Everybody was in awe. They couldn’t believe how gorgeous it was. They thought it was stunning and that I looked amazing in it.
Would you have done anything differently?
I would have kept on my dress the whole night and not changed to be comfortable, because honestly, my Galia was the most comfortable dress ever.
What part of the wedding were you most looking forward to?
I was most looking forward to everyone flying out and having my three beautiful kids, Lucas, Luna, and Leon, there to see their mommy and daddy get married after being together for 15 years.
How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?
My partner and I met in high school but didn’t start dating until after graduation. Our anniversary is December 12, 2009, and that’s the exact date I wanted to get married. It was important to keep that date because it’s where our journey began.

How did you find working with the team at Galia Lahav?
Bridal Reflections in Carle Place was amazing. Everyone was so nice, and the alterations were incredible. They really made the gown fit my body perfectly. The woman who did the alterations was so talented. I thought she was amazing at her job.
How many dresses did you try on before you found it?
I tried on about 8 to 10 dresses in total.
Anything else you’d like to share?
I loved that all three of my kids, Lucas, Luna, and Leon, were able to attend my wedding and see how much their parents love each other. We were just two teenagers in Punta Cana, visiting his family at 19 years old. Who would have thought we’d be back there again, this time to get married?
"Nothing else compared, the G-404 gown was everything I imagined and more."
