A moment of your wedding day will you never forget?
Before we went down to the ceremony, our family, closest friends, and some of my family that flew in from Israel all gathered in my suite with the Rabbi to sign the Ketubah. This moment felt so special and intimate, and there were a lot of tears! After the Ketubah was signed, we were all waiting in anticipation for the ceremony, and the excitement was really filling up in the room. All our friends and family started singing “We’re going to the Chuppah and we’re gonna get married”. I couldn’t stop smiling. I looked around and I thought to myself, this is a moment I will cherish forever.
"Savor the moments as much as possible! Take breathers and have some time to yourself and with your new husband."
One thing you wish you knew as a new bride? What advice would you give to future brides?
If your family offers to help with event planning or invitations etc. let them! The stress of planning a wedding escalates quickly, and you’ll be thankful that some tasks were delegated to others.
A detail that made your wedding special/unique?
Our wedding was so special in every single way, thanks to our amazing team. But we did add something in three days before the wedding when I was looking at my parents old wedding videos. Back then, I realized how the footage used to be less edited and more candid. I really wanted to have a home movie type of video style added to our wedding day. Our videographers, Sculpting with Time, were able to add in another videographer that did more of a documentary style film. We wanted a videographer that acts like the funny uncle at a family gathering and just gets in people’s faces, capturing all the candid moments of the day. Although the big moments or ceremony and first dance are highlight you have to capture, it’s also the small side conversations with my grandma, parents or my best friends that make the day so special
How did you know your dress was 'the one'?
I tried on over 150 dresses, and this was the first one that I didn’t want to take off! When I put it on, I just couldn’t stop staring at it in the mirror. It had everything I was looking for. Also, my mom and mother-in-law couldn’t stop crying, which is also a great tell
"I mostly worked directly with Galia and Ayana. They both went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with every detail of the dress."
How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding? What was everyone's reaction to the dress?
I was so excited to put my dress on the day of the wedding. It felt like I was
living in a fairytale. I was also so excited about my dress prior to the wedding that I secretly showed it to all my bridesmaids. They only saw it in pictures, but they were still so surprised to see its perfection in person. As beautiful as the dress photographs, its intricate lace details are truly something else to see close up.
What was your favourite part of the wedding to plan/you were most looking forward to?
The flowers!! I had so much fun planning the wedding floral designs with the
Birch and YSD teams. My mom and mother-in-law were very involved in this
process, which made it all the more special. We were inspired by so many
incredible designs – French riviera, nautical blues, wildflowers, whimsical whites, lavender garden, and Amalfi Coast. Every event throughout the 4-day weekend had its own unique distinctive experience.
