Bride Of The Week: Betty Luna
Written By Kaileah Searcy

For GL Bride Betty Luna, her wedding was a dream come true! From an unforgettable first look to a boat proposal in Positano, Italy, every moment captured her vision of elegance and timeless beauty. She walked down the aisle lined with over 5,000 candles wearing her Élysée gown with a custom bolero at the gorgeous La Palma Polo Club in Ecuador.
Today, we share Betty’s journey to becoming a GL Bride and the details that made her day one to remember. As told by Betty:
“I felt so elegant, so timeless, that it brought me to tears. It was as if the dress was meant for me from the start.”
A moment of your wedding day you will never forget?
Walking down the aisle with my mom and brother, and witnessing the look on my husband’s face—and everyone else’s—was an unforgettable moment.
One thing you wish you knew as a new bride? What advice would you give to future brides?
One piece of advice I’d give to a bride is to truly enjoy the process and make it fun with your fiancé. These are the moments you’ll look back on and wish you had embraced more.
A detail that made your wedding special or unique?
For my wedding, we had more than 5,000 candles, creating a breathtaking, romantic glow.
How did you know your dress was the one?
I felt so elegant, so timeless, that it brought me to tears. It was as if the dress was meant for me from the start.
How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding?
The sales associate handpicked it for me. I had my eye on a different look—a V-neck with flowers—but as soon as she saw me, she instantly thought of this dress and felt it was the perfect match.
Would you have done anything differently?
No, everything turned out exactly as it was meant to. I wouldn’t change a thing.
“We had more than 5,000 candles, creating a breathtaking, romantic glow.”
What was your favorite part of the wedding to plan or what were you most looking forward to?
I was really excited to finally wear my dress and get ready for the day. I wanted to share that moment with my closest people, so I did a first look with my friends and family. It made the whole experience feel even more special.
How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?
I met him through a mutual friend, and from there, it was meant to be. He proposed to me on a boat in Positano, Italy.
How did you find working with the team at Galia Lahav?
Though my mom couldn’t be there, the team at Galia Lahav made the experience truly magical. My sister and the sales associate really brought it to life, making it a moment I’ll always cherish.
How many dresses did you try on before you found it?
Three dresses.
Anything else you would like to share?
We had our destination wedding at a polo club, with horses and the most amazing sunset. When we first checked out the venue, we didn’t realize how dark it would be at night. So, we added thousands of candles to light up the space, and it ended up being totally magical.
“Truly enjoy the process and make it fun with your fiancé. These are the moments you’ll look back on and wish you had embraced more.”
