Bride Of The Week: Amelle

Bride Of The Week: Amelle

Written By Lisa Chorna

Every wedding has its unforgettable moments, but for this bride, it all began the instant she stepped into the aisle. The noise, the nerves, the months of planning—everything disappeared the second she saw Sam. His expression said it all: emotional, steady, completely present. In that single glance, she felt radiant, timeless, and certain she was stepping into the life they had always imagined together. It was a reminder that beyond the details and logistics, a wedding is ultimately about one thing: the person waiting for you at the end of the aisle.

Set in a hidden French countryside château, the wedding felt intimate, warm, and deeply personal. The venue, owned by a family and untouched by social media trends, became a true home for the celebration. With acres of land and space for loved ones to stay on-site, the days leading up to the wedding were filled with long dinners, peaceful mornings, and meaningful time together with family who had traveled from around the world. That togetherness, rare and fleeting, became one of the most treasured parts of the experience. The ceremony itself was especially meaningful, with handwritten vows and a surprise smoke flare moment that brought energy and emotion to the celebration.

Finding the dress was a journey of its own. After trying on more than 100 gowns in search of something timeless, elegant, and uniquely her, she knew instantly when she stepped into her Galia Lahav design. The floral appliqué, delicate lacework, and dramatic train captured the romance and sophistication she had always imagined. On the morning of the wedding, seeing herself fully dressed made everything feel real for the first time. Surrounded by emotional reactions from her mother, sister, and bridesmaids, she felt confident, grounded, and completely herself. The gown was more than beautiful, it was a reflection of how she felt stepping into this new chapter.

Looking back, her biggest advice to future brides is simple: let go of perfection. Weather changes, timelines shift, and tiny details rarely matter in the end. What lasts is the feeling of being surrounded by the people who love you most, all in one place, celebrating your beginning. Her journey with Sam, starting as friends in medical school, reconnecting years later by chance in Belize, and growing stronger through long-distance challenges and demanding careers, made the day even more meaningful. The proposal at Half Moon Bay and the life they built through resilience and partnership led to this moment. And through it all, she describes working with the Galia Lahav team as a dream: supportive, attentive, and dedicated to bringing her vision to life. In the end, she wouldn’t change a thing. Because weddings aren’t about flawless execution, they’re about love, presence, and the once-in-a-lifetime feeling of saying “yes” to forever.
