Crafted from the finest ivory silk taffetas, the gown begins with a sharply pointed corset and a grand, double-layered skirt. The base skirt, box-pleated and sweeping into a long train, is overlaid with an opulent bubbled train, fastened at the waist and richly trimmed with antique, hand-dyed lace and medallion appliqués. These historic touches evoke the romance and grandeur of the Gilded Age.
