GL Bride Morgan's Cinematic Wedding in a custom Finesse Gown.

In music, the beauty of a harmony is that it grows out of a space that is unexpected; one line of music that is beautiful alone is made all the more beautiful by the addition of another, sometimes seemingly contradictory yet the effect is glorious. As an opera singer, GL Bride of the Week Morgan’s life is filled with music and her wedding was no different.

"It didn’t just make me look beautiful - it made me feel radiant, like the most distilled version of myself."

Morgan

Morgan and Bailey’s wedding took place in New Orleans, a place filled with memories as a gorgeous café in the French Quarter was also where they had their first date and got engaged a year later. The aesthetic of their venue, the Columns Hotel, was of great importance to Morgan, and the bright colours and whimsical atmosphere gave her memories and pictures a cinematic quality beyond her wildest dreams.

Both the bride and groom wanted their wedding to be deeply personal in every sense that it could and thus Morgan took on some of the creative aspects of the day. She designed the flowers, ensuring everything had the romantic, wild charm that reflected her own personality. This followed through to her dress, the stunning Finesse.

From the moment that Morgan slipped into Finesse, it felt inevitable that it would be her dress. The ultra romantic, sculptural French lace and the dramatic silhouette made for the perfect dress for her. She did a custom version of the sleeves, and just like that, her dream dress was born. As she says, she felt ‘radiant, like the most distilled version of myself’.

When her friends and family saw her, she was met with gasps of admiration, and she knew that she had made the right choice with a Galia Lahav gown. To Morgan, Finesse was more than a wedding dress, it was a ceremonial gown, ‘the craftsmanship was breathtaking, every stitch gleamed with intention’.

Despite all her careful planning and consideration, no wedding is without its hiccups. Morgan and Bailey chose gelato cakes over a traditional wedding cake, however when it came time to cut the cake, the gelato was frozen solid and the knife could not get through! This caused an uproar of laughter and made for one of the funniest moments of the day.
