A Unique GL Bride: Heather Bailey

We are extremely proud to say that we have the most beautiful and most unique brides of all. Therefore, we present you with our unique GLbride Heather Bailey and here's her story....she decided to go for a black wedding dress (because we all LOVE black) and found the Marylin dress. She knew from the second she saw it that she HAD to wear it.

"The overall theme of the wedding was a Victorian Funeral."

Heather has been a tattoo artist for 13 years now. She always wanted to do something creative for a career and was fortunate to meet the right people to help her achieve that goal. She says she absolutely loves her job because she gets to travel all over the world and put her art on people for the rest of their lives!

She met her husband because he is in a band. She always knew who he was but it wasn’t until a mutual friend of them finally introduced them and they were both instantly smitten with each other!

Of course, by being unique, she decided to go for a black wedding dress (because we all LOVE black) and found the Marylin dress. She knew from the second she saw it that she HAD to wear it.

The overall theme of the wedding was a Victorian Funeral. Mostly black and white with gold accents. Her flowers were all modeled after Victorian funeral arrangements, all white and cream flowers with a lot of greenery. All of the arrangements were placed in black urns as well. Their cake was decorated with a pair of antique (100 years old) wax hands with flowers from her bouquet. They also had gold banners made with a few of their favorite song lyrics placed around the venue to make it more personal for the couple.

The highlight of the wedding according to Heather was that instead of wedding party favors for their guests, they hired a cartoon artist that drew cartoons of their guest that they got to keep (wow, this is an amazing and fun idea for a wedding). Heather told us that a lot of their friends have framed them and have them hanging in their houses (amazing gift!!!)

Heather told us that her wedding was really the best day of her life, everything about it was special and it is hard to pinpoint at one specific part of it. She said that she loved having all of her favorite people in one place and dancing all night to her favorite music was very fun and the part that she will never forget will be the ceremony. It was short and mainly consisted of her husband and her exchanging personal vows that they wrote for each other."

"Everything about it was special and it is hard to pinpoint at one specific part of it."
