Meet our confident GL Bride of the Week, Yang! She knew exactly what she wanted for her timeless wedding - a dress that was unique, glamorous, and elegant, and found her match in our Bella dress. In the following interview, she shares her heartfelt advice for new brides and her journey to finding the dress that made her feel not only beautiful but also empowered and unforgettable on her special day. As told by Yang!

A moment of your wedding day will you never forget?

I will never forget our first look when Nick saw me in my dress. I knew he would love any dress I chose, but seeing his reaction just really solidified that I chose THE perfect dress. I will also never forget reading our vows that we wrote to each other, and the significance of it all.ย

One thing you wish you knew as a new bride? What advice would you give to future brides?

The day goes by so quickly, so make sure to enjoy the little moments and take it all in. Also, don’t stress the little things. None of it matters at the end of the day.ย

A detail that made your wedding special/unique?

We had a close friend officiate our wedding and included notable moments of Nick and Iโ€™s relationship in the speech. It was very special to have someone personal and important to us be part of our ceremony.

How did you know your dress was 'the one'?

I went into dress shopping knowing I wanted something unique, glamorous, and elegant. What I got was so much more. The Bella dress with the most gorgeous details was truly everything I was looking for and more. It made me feel beautiful, confident, unique, and also powerful. It was a dress that really made a statement without overpowering me. That was how I knew I had found my dress.

How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding? What was everyone's reaction to the dress?

Putting on my dress the day of the wedding was an unforgettable feeling. It made me feel beautiful, confident, and seeing everyone’s reaction was so special.ย

Would you have done anything differently?

I wouldn’t change a thing, and the wedding day was so much fun. Did everything go perfectly? No, and that honestly made it all more interesting and memorable. It was truly the most spectacular day.

What was your favourite part of the wedding to plan/you were most looking forward to?

Wedding planning had its stressful moments, but I very much enjoyed the overall process. Wedding dress shopping however, was my favorite part. As for the wedding day itself, I was most looking forward to Nick seeing me in my dress, celebrating with our friends and family, and enjoying the day to the fullest.

How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?

Nick and I met at a local cocktail bar, and hit it off immediately. After a couple of drinks and meeting a few of his friends in the area, we ended the night with McDonald’s drive through. For our four year anniversary, we went on a trip to Hawaii. On the first day of the trip, we went to the beach to catch the sunset. While we watched the sunset over the water, Nick got down on one knee and surprised me with the most gorgeous ring and proposal to start our trip.

How did you find working with the team at Galia Lahav?

It was absolutely amazing. Ashley with Nyanza Bridal is extremely knowledgeable, and so patient and kind to work with.

How many dresses did you try on before you found it?

I had tried on around 20 dresses or so before I decided on the Bella dress. It is truly one of a kind and the most beautiful dress I will ever wear.
