We're delighted to introduce our stunning GL Bride of the week, Noemi! She tied the knot with her fiancé, wearing the gown Seraphina from our Dancing Queen collection. In this interview, Noemi talks about how she brought her dream wedding to life and the moment she knew she had found THE Dress! As told by Noemi:
A moment of your wedding day will you never forget?
There are many memorable moments such as the decoration, the location, and the vows of my husband. But two of the most beautiful moments were when my father saw me for the first time in my Galia Lahav dress and cried like I have never seen him cry. And the second unforgettable moment was when my grandfather, who was in a wheelchair due to a stroke, got up and danced during our Italian Pizzica dance.
One thing you wish you knew as a new bride? What advice would you give to future brides?
I wish I had talked more with the guests, I always thought I still had time, but unfortunately the time passed very quickly. Very important future brides: do not forget to take pictures with your parents (unfortunately I forgot!!!) And enjoy every moment!
The location. We had 4 different stops in the location (Villa Zaira), and one of the most beautiful was the appetizer in the pine forest. It was all under the open sky with palms.
OMG!. I had an exact idea fairy tale, pompous, Gypsilike and also elegant. I told the nice employee at Zoro and she showed me the Seraphina dress. I tried it on, and my maid of honor, my mother, my brother, and I cried. I just felt so beautiful like in a fairytale. I knew right away this was the dress! You feel it, your eyes sparkle, you can’t stop laughing and you don’t want to take it off!
How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding? What was everyone's reaction to the dress?
I loved it, I couldn’t wait to put the dress on. The people were speechless, many had to cry. I felt like a VIP! Many said they have never seen such a beautiful dress. The details like the glitter and sleeves it was just indescribably beautiful. The staff of the villa (location) asked me where to get such a beautiful dress, they have many weddings but have never seen such a beautiful dress.
What was your favourite part of the wedding to plan/you were most looking forward to?
All the decorations and marriage vows were my favorite to plan and all the designs of the invitations. The thing I was looking forward to was our flash mob and all the flowers. But I was looking forward to our guests the most honestly…
How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?
This is a beautiful story. My husband and I have known each other since we were 7 years old. We went to elementary school together. I received my first love letter from him and I still have it. At the age of 12, my family and I moved and we lost sight of each other. After 12 years I went with my ex-boyfriend to a furniture store and there my husband advised me and my ex-boyfriend. I was so happy to see him it was so familiar. But I had a boyfriend and so it remained with this meeting. After 2 years, we met in a Club in Zuerich and he said only: I do not want to lose you again and then I gave him my number, but I just came from a relationship and I just wanted to stay single so he had to fight for me for 2 years. Then I fell in love with him.
How many dresses did you try on before you found it?
I had the Seraphina dress first on, after that I actually knew that this would be the Dress. But I tried 4 more just for the feeling. For the second Wedding dress (the party one) I tried more than 6. But even there it became Galia Lahav.
