Join us as Marie shares intimate moments from her magical day and her captivating journey as a GL Bride! As told by Marie:

A moment of your wedding day will you never forget?

The moment before the chuppah when my husband placed the veil over my face. There were so many guests, but at that moment it was just the two of us. That was wonderful.

One thing you wish you knew as a new bride? What advice would you give to future brides?

I would never listen to other people’s opinions about the big day again. Everyone said we wouldn’t be able to enjoy it because it would be so stressful. But we enjoyed every second and that’s why I would advise future brides to just get involved in the wedding and enjoy every moment. It happens as it should anyway.

A detail that made your wedding special/unique?

Our wedding dance because it was totally different than what you know and expect. We had a mix of classical and hip-hop, which went down really well and was a lot of fun.

How did you know your dress was 'the one'?

It was the first dress I tried on and I knew it straight away, it was a feeling that you can’t describe.

How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding? What was everyone's reaction to the dress?

I felt super comfortable and, above all, beautiful, and that’s how all the guests perceived me. It was perfect.

Would you have done anything differently?

No, nothing at all, it was my dream wedding.

What was your favourite part of the wedding to plan/you were most looking forward to?

The speech from my husband and I was super emotional and neither of us knew what we were going to say to each other.

How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?

I knew him briefly through friends at the time and, strangely enough, I dreamed about him and then wrote to him on Facebook. We met and fell in love. Over the years we had two wonderful children.

He proposed to me in Italy, in Lago di Como in the pouring rain on a small boat, it was perfect.

How did you find working with the team at Galia Lahav?

I first contacted the Galia Lahav team in Israel, they were super nice and helpful. Unfortunately, I couldn’t travel to Israel, so I had the dress ordered from the Bridal Boutique in Baden Baden. Everything worked out great.
