This week’s GL Bride is the beautiful Jody, who walked down the aisle in our timeless Gia gown. Surrounded by cherished friends and family, Jody and her fiance’s wedding celebration was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. In the following interview, Jody shares her favorite memories and journey to becoming a GL Bride!

"I knew instantly it was the one!"

How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?

We met on a dating app! He chased me for a good couple of years until I gave in to the first date that changed everything. Since then, we’ve been completely inseparable. A year and a half into dating, we went to Portugal. We were going on a tour of a Sintra and my husband told me he had booked a private tour of Pena Palace, but when we got there, he had actually reserved the palace for just us. He got down on one knee, a photographer jumped out of nowhere and it was the easiest yes I have ever said. It truly was a fairytale proposal.

How did you find working with the team at Galia Lahav, and how did you know your dress was 'the one'?

I really enjoyed working with the team at Galia Lahav! They made the experience feel personal and special every time I walked in there. When we got closer to the date and there were some alterations that needed to be made in order for my dress to be perfect for me, the team didn’t shy away and worked so hard to get it to exactly what I had dreamed of.

I knew instantly it was the one! As soon as I looked at myself, a literal *gasp* came out of my mouth and there was simply no other dress that could compare. I didn’t want to take it off and couldn’t even imagine myself in anything else.

How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding? What was everyone's reaction to the dress?

I felt the most beautiful I ever have when I put on my wedding dress. All of my friends and family were wowed and my husband especially felt like the dress was just made for me.

A detail that made your wedding special/unique?

We were so lucky to be surrounded by so many friends and family who really shared in our love and joy. Our room was filled with so much love and amazing energy, the dance floor was full the entire night long and there were a few times we just stopped for a second to take it all in because it was just so special.
