Meet Gianna Tucker, our lovely GL Bride of the week, who looked stunning in our Miranda gown! Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Gianna and her partner experienced the magic of an intimate gathering with a wedding at the Wynn in Vegas. With the following interview, Gianna reflections on their unique love story and how she found the dress of her dreams. As told by Gianna:

A moment of your wedding day will you never forget?

I had two! The first look with my husband, and the second, walking down the aisle with my 5 yr old stepdaughter.

One thing you wish you knew as a new bride? What advice would you give to future brides?

One thing I totally underestimated is that every detail matters. Luckily, I had an amazing wedding planner, Lia, to guide me throughout the planning process and made sure I didn’t overlook anything. One piece of advice I would give to future brides is to get your wedding dress early! I always felt at peace knowing my dress was taken care of and would be perfect for the wedding day.

A detail that made your wedding special/unique?

Our ceremony! We had a small wedding with our closest friends and family (about 40 people), and we wanted the experience to be a combination of a ceremony and a party. It did not disappoint. My father-in-law was our officiant, and he did such a great job speaking to our love story while interacting with our rather lively guests (the Vegas energy must have had an impact…)

How did you know your dress was 'the one'?

My best friend was a #GLbride, and as soon as I saw her dress, I knew Galia Lahav was the designer I would want to wear when I got married. I was looking at all of the different styles online and saw Miranda, and I texted my best friend immediately after that I found my dress. I thought it was so sexy with the high neckline, high slit, and corset. I haven’t seen anything like it and I knew it was perfect for my Vegas wedding at the Wynn.

How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding? What was everyone's reaction to the dress?

Every day after my final fitting I would express how excited I was to put on my dress again, so the morning of the wedding I couldn’t wait to have it on display. When it was time to change, I was so nervous getting into it because I didn’t want to accidentally step on the train or rip the corset! My wedding look was a dream come true and my husband’s reaction made the whole experience complete. He was so emotional seeing me for the first time!

Would you have done anything differently?

No!

What was your favourite part of the wedding to plan/you were most looking forward to?

Our favorite part of the wedding to plan was the afterparty! We treated our guests to bottle service at XS Nightclub.

How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?

My husband and I met at work. He planned the most special proposal. My grandparents are the most important people in my life, and because of their age, we knew they wouldn’t be able to make it to our wedding. They have the most beautiful garden in their backyard surrounded by panoramic windows, so he proposed to me there! I walked in and saw the garden with white rose petals leading up to him. It was so special and our immediate family’s were able to watch the entire thing! My grandfather passed away shortly after and he would always talk about how special that moment was to him.

How did you find working with the team at Galia Lahav?

Anthony Beltran and the entire Galia Lahav team made me feel like an absolute princess. I had so much fun working with Anthony and I trusted his input and vision even after I purchased the dress. I leaned on his guidance for everything from accessories to the bustle.

How many dresses did you try on before you found it?

I only tried on 5! I was pretty set on Miranda going in, but I wanted to try to stay open minded as well. Miranda was the first dress I tried on. I didn’t even want to try on the others but Anthony and my best friend encouraged me. When I circled back to Miranda and tried the dress on with the headpiece it was a done deal. I always knew it!
