Camille Henkel, our featured GL Bride, looked stunning in the Seraphina gown from our "Dancing Queen" collection. Her choice reflected a perfect blend of elegance and style, making her wedding day memorable. In her interview, Camille share valuable advice for future GL brides and recounts her journey to finding this dream dress for her wedding day. As told by Camille:

A moment of your wedding day will you never forget?

It started raining during the cocktail party. Pretty unusual for the month of August. So, by the time we tried to get from the cocktail tent to the dinner tent (at home wedding), we had to walk about 100 meters in the grass. Wet grass. So my now “Husband”, after an hour, took one of the ceremony parasols, untied it from its base, and walked me with this huge umbrella above my head and my oversized dress. My hero.

One thing you wish you knew as a new bride?

You enter into a totally different dimension. You do feel very mature the moment you say yes. Also, different, much more responsible I’d say. I guess it’s purely a cliché but it is, a new feeling indeed.

What advice would you give to future brides?

Don’t stress on your wedding day because it’s pure magic. Everything goes into places, right where it should and when it’s meant to be. I’m myself planning events and, on that special day, take the time to enjoy it. Time is flying.

A detail that made your wedding special/unique?

My dress! But not only, I guess the fact that we celebrated the wedding at home was something we will never forget. We live in a 16th century mansion, in the old-fashioned way. We enjoyed celebrating that special day in our gardens, filled up with our family and friends from all around the world. We remember THE day every day and created memorable souvenirs.

How did you know your dress was 'the one'?

That’s it. It was the one. It had the sparkling touch, the princess effect I was dreaming of. The dramatic shape. The sexy bustier, “Le Drapé”. I fell in love with this dress at first sight. It was a reflection of my personality.

How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding?

I was happy to fit in. I had purchased the dress 1.5 years before and it didn’t fit anymore until the week before the wedding.

What was everyone's reaction to the dress?

The dress was made for me, and it was evident. It had a ‘wow wow’ effect.

Would you have done anything differently?

Nothing that I can remember, no.

What was your favorite part of the wedding to plan/you were most looking forward to?

Mostly the decoration, the lighting of the trees, and the fireworks. That was fun. It stopped raining an hour ago.  Also, the welcoming party the day before, on the beach.

How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?

We met on the beach, there’s this place called “Les Ammonites”, we both loved that place very much. It was meant to be. We got introduced by a mutual friend. My future husband at that time, was living in Germany but came often to France. When he decided to leave, for work reasons, I joined him a few months after and moved my career there, to Germany too. “Les ammonites” is where we did the welcoming party during our wedding weekend. Symbolic place.

How did you find working with the team at Galia Lahav?

I bought my dress in Switzerland, in Zurich. The team there made everything possible with Galia Lahav.

How many dresses did you try on before you found it?

I tried 4 dresses, “Just Because” but that was the first one I tried, and I knew from the fit and the look that it would be the one. I had my eyes on it before even being engaged!
