The Biggest Bridal Trends Defining 2026 Wedding Style

The Biggest Bridal Trends Defining 2026 Wedding Style

Written By Maya Ernest

The modern bride is done playing it safe, according to the runways at New York Bridal Fashion Week. This season, designers traded in the traditional for maximalist details—think bold floral appliqués, couture-level corsetry, and rhinestones and sequins galore.
Ahead, see the biggest bridal trends defining 2026 wedding style.

Bold Florals

Florals aren’t new to the wedding scene, but they certainly feel like it this season. At NYBFW, florals adopted new texture and depth, becoming less of a detail and more of the drama. Our dazzling “Hazel” mini dress features three-dimensional floral appliqués and sequins, catching the light with every movement. Its figure-hugging design works well for dinners, parties, and any occasion you want all eyes on you. For a look that’s truly in bloom, opt for the hot pink iteration.
Any ensemble can be elevated with our Julia Choker. Characterized by three delicate flower appliqués, the choker fastens at the back for a fitted neckline, and can be worn on its own or atop an existing gown design. We love layering this accessory over a halterneck gown for a bit of personalization.

Halterneck Gowns

Halterneck gowns emerged as a defining trend on the spring 2026 bridal runways, offering a sophisticated alternative to the more revealing, low-cut designs that have recently dominated bridal fashion. The halter silhouette is perfect for brides who want to emphasize their natural beauty, as it draws focus to the face, neck, and shoulders to create a harmonious visual balance.

Brides who want to embrace all their curves should look no further than the Lys gown. Its draped halterneck highlights your décolletage, and its fitted bodice is accented by sheer side panels to create a breathtaking silhouette.

Our Stassie gown takes more of a minimalist approach. The satin bias-cut design spotlights the figure and a high slit allows the bride to show off her legs. It’s really the dainty crystal straps that make this design so special, however, and there’s no denying how beautifully they frame the face.
Sensual and sophisticated, our Maddie gown frames the neckline with satin, tying in the back for a dramatic flourish. A plunging back makes this silhouette especially stunning, and we’d love to see this look styled with elegant gloves or an embellished headband.

Couture Corsetry

Corsets are traditionally known to enhance the body’s figure, but this season, designers embraced the cinching silhouette as a symbol of empowerment and self-expression. Sheer fabrics put delicate boning on full display, while accentuated basque waists gave corseted looks more volume.
The latest waist-whittling gowns, it seems, are leaning into the editorial edit and couture-level craftsmanship. Our freshly debuted Ally and Libby gowns give the corset a refresh with plunging cutouts and lace-up lace.

Our Robyn gown is a ready-to-wear option that isn’t like the rest. Short and sweet, the mini ball gown features a strapless corset and a voluminous skirt, all done up in ivory lace. Especially when paired with the matching tights, this gown is extra playful.

For the bride who’s all about the after-party, our Miley mini dress is designed to shine on and off the dance floor. With a sweetheart neckline and a sculpting basque waist, the corseted silhouette is equal parts flirty and unforgettable.

Corseted tops were big on the NYBFW runways as well, proving the versatility of the style. Our Anita corset is infused with ‘70s glamour, and its glittering gems pair well with a silky skirt or pants. Our Anisa corset, on the other hand, offers a risqué yet romantic look with exquisite ivory lace and visible boning. Both silhouettes promise a shape that flatters every body.

Embellishments

Embellishments had a major moment at New York Bridal Fashion Week, with everything from sequins to pearls gracing the runways. Crystal fringe and mesh rhinestones were popular this season too, giving bridal style a showgirl twist. After all, who doesn’t want to sparkle on their big day?

Our Lia set is for the bride who wants all eyes on her. Cropped to reveal a bit of skin, the top is decorated with intricate hand-beaded fringe that dances with every move. The matching mini skirt offers the same playfulness with hand-beaded tassels you just can’t resist shaking. For a jazzier option, try our embellished fringe Tango dress, which comes with a powermesh built-in bodysuit to guarantee perfect fit and comfort.

Meanwhile, the “Toni” gown is the ultimate party look. With a plunging neckline, beaded tassel detailing, and sequin discs, the gown is guaranteed to light up the room—and the dance floor. Likewise, our hand-beaded “Clara” mini dress brings effortless glamour with a crisscross back and fabulous fringe details.

For a more subtle sparkle, opt for the Betty gown. Inspired by Grecian goddesses, this gown features a boned glitter corset that subtly emerges from beautifully draped crepe fabric. Complete with a detachable shoulder train, the Betty style is a fabulous choice for brides who want a little bit of everything.

Our incomparable Astor gown, unveiled as part of our Couture Spring 2026 Keepsake collection, includes the rarest ornament of them all. Created in partnership with Leibish—the global diamond purveyor renowned for its rare colored diamonds and fine jewelry—the Astor gown features an 18k gold ornament with white and pink diamonds, and most notably, a 30-carat ruby nestled in the center of its silhouette. The stunning embellishment is detachable, making it a keepsake you can pass on as a pendant or ring for generations to come.

Thanks to its breathtaking details, the Astor gown also holds the title for the most expensive wedding dress in the world and is valued at one million dollars. What really makes the piece special, however, is its personal value: Both design and artisan teams at Galia Lahav and Leibish worked hand in hand—and heart to heart—to present the resplendent Astor wedding gown. It’s a piece made with love, for your love.
