For nearly five years, Yael Friedman has been the force behind Galia Lahav’s global voice as our PR Manager. She has spent countless hours bringing couture gowns to brides around the world, sharing their stories, and showcasing their dreams. But less than a week ago, it was finally Yael’s turn to step into the role of the bride - and she did so in nothing less than 4 Galia Lahav gowns, two of them fully custom creations designed hand-in-hand with Galia Lahav herself and Head Designer Sharon Sever.
Her bridal journey wasn’t just about fashion; it was about embodying the essence of couture: personalization, artistry, and empowerment. Each gown told a different chapter of her love story, crafted with the precision and passion that define our maison.
Every gown reflected the mood of her seaside celebration - airy, sculpted, and perfectly suited for a chic island atmosphere. Yael wanted to balance timeless couture with that breezy “beach wedding” magic, creating gowns that let her feel powerful, beautiful, and completely herself.

The First Look: Modern Elegance
Before the ceremony began, Yael chose to open the wedding in a ready-to-wear gown: the Cindy dress. With its halter neckline, slitted front, and thigh-high slit, the stretch crepe gown was finished with a modern tie detail that exuded confidence and ease. It was the perfect kickoff - a gown that set the stage for the night ahead, blending sleek modernity with timeless sophistication. Cindy wasn’t just a dress; it was an entrance.

For her religious ceremony, Yael knew she wanted something truly her own. After trying on hundreds of dresses during her years at Galia Lahav, she had seen it all, and her vision for her own wedding was clear.
“I wanted something chic, timeless, and something that would just snatch me up!,” Yael said.
Working closely with Sharon Sever and Galia Lahav herself, that vision became a reality. Together, they designed a custom gown that reflected Yael’s personality and her venue. Every detail was meticulously considered - from the fit to the fabric - creating a gown that felt sculpted, young, modern, and timeless all at once.
The process highlighted one of Galia Lahav’s core values: customization. For Yael, the gown wasn’t just about beauty - it was about how it made her feel. Empowered, radiant, and truly herself. In her words, “The fit was honestly indescribable. It made me feel like the best version of myself.”

When it was time to party, Yael slipped into a two-piece corset and skirt that balanced sensuality with sophistication. Yael shared: “for my second look, I wanted something sparkly, sexy, and showstopping - but also a reflection of what I absolutely love in my day-to-day life. For me, that meant low-rise! I’ve always been a huge fan, and even before I knew what my main gown would be, I already knew what my second look was going to be. And of course, I couldn’t go without another corset moment, because the GL corsets are just that good.”
The Finale: Playful & Modern
Every wedding deserves a finale, and Yael chose hers in the form of a dazzling mini from our upcoming Secret Garden ready-to-wear collection. Embellished with playful tassels, the mini was made for dancing all night long.
It was bold, fun, and fashion-forward - showing that a bride’s wardrobe doesn’t end with the ceremony, but continues into the after-party. For Yael, this gown was all about freedom, movement, and ending the night in pure celebration.
