Shadee and her husband’s wedding unfolded in New York City at The Metropolitan Club, where timeless elegance met deeply meaningful tradition. Blending both Persian and Greek cultures into one celebration, every moment felt intentional, emotional, and entirely reflective of the people and traditions they love most. From meaningful customs woven throughout the evening to an unforgettable dance floor filled with energy and joy, the celebration beautifully honored both families and backgrounds in a way that felt seamless and deeply personal.
“Seeing tears in my husband’s eyes as I walked down the aisle made everything around us fade away.”
Shadee and her husband met through a mutual friend, and from the very beginning, there was an instant connection between them. As their relationship grew, so did the life they began building together — one rooted in love, excitement, and the kind of partnership that felt effortless from the start.
When it came time to propose, he secretly worked with Shadee’s best friend to plan everything perfectly without her suspecting a thing. What she believed was simply a casual double date in New York City quickly turned into one of the most surreal and unforgettable moments of her life. Before dinner, her friend suggested stopping by her apartment rooftop for drinks — where an incredible surprise awaited. The space had been transformed with candles, rose petals, and red roses shaped into a heart. In a moment she now laughs about, Shadee initially looked around and said, “Aw, someone got engaged,” completely unaware the entire setup had been created just for her. A few moments later, everything clicked — turning into a beautiful, emotional surprise she’ll never forget.
Shadeee’s bridal journey began at Galia Lahav — the very first designer she visited before exploring several others throughout her search. But no matter where she went, nothing compared to the way she felt in Galia Lahav gowns. As she continued trying on dresses, she found herself constantly thinking back to them, realizing nothing else felt quite the same.
Just before returning, Shadee came across an old screenshot saved on her phone shortly after getting engaged — a photo of one specific Galia Lahav dress she had unknowingly been drawn to all along. The moment she finally tried on that exact gown, everything clicked. It instantly felt like her: elegant, timeless yet modern, and completely aligned with her personal style. What made the experience even more meaningful was the opportunity to customize the dress alongside the team, transforming it into the absolute dream gown she had envisioned. Looking back, it felt as though she had chosen it long before she even realized it.
“It was the only dress that truly felt like me — elegant, timeless yet modern, and completely aligned with my personal style.”
