Bride Of The Week: Maya Sinclair
Written By Leeyam Zipori
Every wedding has its unforgettable moments, but for Maya and Adam, it was a day defined by deep emotion and refined romance. From the very beginning, their vision was to create something warm, vibrant, and full of life. Set in Toronto at the end of winter, the celebration felt like a transition into spring — a quietly enchanting contrast to the freezing weather outside.
“From the very beginning of my wedding day, the whole day felt like a warm hug.”
Maya and Adam’s story began just two weeks after he moved from Toronto to New York. After spotting his profile on Hinge, Maya instantly had a feeling — “that’s my husband.” The proposal felt just as meaningful. Adam brought their story full circle by renting out the wine bar where they first met. He sent a car to pick Maya up, leaving only a note and a sense of anticipation. When she arrived, their favorite song, filled the space as rose petals covered the room.
The moment she walked in, she burst into tears — overwhelmed with emotion. The entire day felt like a blur, made even more special by the memories they were able to capture and hold onto forever.Set in the Park Hyatt Toronto, the wedding embraced bold, unexpected design choices. Instead of a traditional winter palette, Maya chose rich gem tones — deep purples, pinks, and reds — creating a vibrant, unforgettable atmosphere that guests couldn’t stop talking about.
Finding the dress felt almost effortless — a rare and defining moment in Maya’s bridal journey. Galia Lahav was the only atelier she visited, and after trying on just two gowns, everything aligned. The moment she stepped into her custom design, she knew. There was an immediate sense of certainty — a feeling that she had never felt more beautiful, both inside and out. Her gown, paired with a delicately crafted bolero and an ethereal veil, brought her vision to life with striking precision, blending refined elegance with soft, captivating drama.
On the morning of her wedding, that feeling only deepened. Surrounded by her closest family, she stepped into her gown with a sense of calm and quiet confidence. The moment was intimate and emotional — a pause before the celebration began. As the final touches came together, she felt completely present, radiant, and at ease, filled with anticipation for Adam to see her for the first time.
“As soon as I put my dress on, I felt like a princess.”
