Logan’s Artful Philadelphia Wedding in Our Jamie

For GL Bride Logan, her wedding was more than a celebration. It was a fusion of food, art, and personal magic. Hosted at the iconic Philadelphia Museum of Art, she and her husband Jamie created an intentional day filled with painter’s palette desserts, guided gallery tours, and a surprise Cam’ron dance break.

Wearing our gown named The Jamie, a serendipitous match to her groom’s name, Logan embodied timeless elegance with a spirited twist. Today, she shares how an ice cream truck, a father’s advice, and one perfect dress made the day unforgettable. As told by Logan!

"It was an absolute dream."

How did you meet your husband, and how did he propose?

We met at a Shabbat dinner that our good friends set up at their parents house on the Upper West Side. After dinner, Jamie and I took nearly a 2 hour walk home to downtown. I thought, wow what a kind, handsome guy with an absolute wonder and zest for life. It wasn’t until around date six where I shared how surprised I was that we met organically at a Shabbat dinner while neither of us are especially religious. Jamie laughed and said… “Oh that was a TOTAL set up. I knew you would be there.

How did you find working with the team at Galia Lahav, and how did you know your dress was 'the one'?

It was an absolute dream. They’re true experts at their craft, yet care enough to listen to ensure that every detail is better than you can imagine.

When embarking on the dress search, I was certain of one thing… It needed to be a Galia Lahav. I was actually on my way to try on the Bella dress, when I called my Dad who told me "Logan, just don't settle. Just like you found Jamie for a husband, don't settle on any dress, make sure it's special."

After trying on the Bella, it was gorgeous, but not for me. The consultant recommended another dress I didn't pick. Once I tried it on, the room, which consisted of my mom, Jamie’s mom, and my brother’s wife, collectively gasped.I knew it was the one. It was only the second dress I tried on, and when checking the tag, I saw that it was called "The Jamie". My fiance's name. It was meant to be… I didn't settle.

"When I put on The Jamie, the room gasped and I knew this was it. Then I saw the name and it felt like fate."

How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding?

What was everyone's reaction to the dress? Like the absolute best version of me. Galia’s collection has the unique ability to make you feel otherworldly, while still feeling like yourself. I loved the balance of elegance and sexiness. I wanted to look back to show my grandkids pictures one day and still look like me, not me playing dress up- that’s the timelessness that I genuinely felt that my dress exuded. Regarding reactions, it can be summed up by Jamie’s first words when he saw me… “I’m SO happy!"

A detail that made your wedding special/unique?

We curated our menu based on our favorite meals and snacks from our travels. From vegan “crispy rice” from New Years in Tokyo to pear and pecorino ravioli from a summer trip to Positano. Dessert included macarons that were handed out on painters palettes. Our reception was in the grand stair half of The Philadelphia Museum of Art underneath a gilded statue of Dianna the Huntress. The museum was kind enough to keep a handful of galleries open so that guests could experience the art and even have a guided tour. Our love of art extended to our registry. In lieu of gifts, we asked guests to consider donating to The Smithsonian Cultural Rescue Initiative that works to protect cultural heritage threatened or impacted by disasters. Most recently, they’ve been working to protect Ukraine’s cultural heritage

"I loved the balance of elegance and sexiness."
