Bride Of The Week: Eva Muccilli
Written By Kaileah Searcy

Introducing our GL Bride, Eva, who married the love of her life in Toronto while wearing her dream Galia Lahav gown. From an emotional first look to personal touches inspired by their love story, Eva’s wedding day was a beautiful celebration. In the following interview, she shares the moments she’ll never forget and how she knew our FREYA was the one. As told by Eva:
“When we locked eyes at our first look, everything else disappeared.”
A moment of your wedding day you will never forget?
Seeing my husband for the first time at our first look and locking eyes. Everything else faded and it felt like time stood still.
One thing you wish you knew as a new bride? What advice would you give to future brides?
I wish I had known how fast the day flies by. My advice: be fully present in every moment, and don’t stress about the little things — they truly don’t matter once the day arrives.
A detail that made your wedding special/unique?
The personal touches — from handwritten vows to our signature cocktail inspired by our first date — made the day feel very “us.”
How did you know your dress was “the one”?
The moment I put it on, it was an immediate YES. I felt like the most elevated version of myself — confident, elegant, sexy, and completely me.
How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding? What was everyone’s reaction to the dress?
It felt surreal — like the final piece of the day falling into place. Everyone was in awe, and I’ll never forget the look on my husband’s face when he saw me for the first time. Everyone, family and friends had the same reaction that the dress was perfectly suited to me and my personality.
Would you have done anything differently?
Honestly, no. Every moment — even the imperfect ones — made the day uniquely ours.
“The moment I put on my gown, I knew instantly—it was the one.”
What was your favorite part of the wedding to plan/you were most looking forward to?
The reception details — music, food, and creating an atmosphere where everyone could just celebrate and party with us.
How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?
We met through my best friend who introduced us, we went for tacos on our first date, he gave me a key to his house after one week and we moved in together after two. We knew we were it for each other. After 8 months he proposed in our home after going to dinner at our favourite Toronto restaurant. It was a total surprise to me!
How did you find working with the team at Galia Lahav?
Absolutely amazing — my dress fit me like a glove when it came in and was even better than I remember it when I tried on the sample the first time. Andrea from White Toronto is absolutely incredible and she was there through every step of the way and for every appointment.
How many dresses did you try on before you found it?
About 5 — but once I tried mine, nothing else compared. It was an instant YES. I knew the dress could give me all the looks I was trying to achieve. Galia Lahav created gorgeous custom sleeves and then we created a choker out of extra material to have a fun second look for the party afterwards. It was everything I envisioned.
Anything else you would like to add?
Cherish the planning journey — it’s such a special chapter leading up to the big day.
“Everyone said the dress was perfectly suited to who I am.”
