GL Bride Emily brings an AI-inspired vision to life in the English Countryside...

Introducing our stunning GL Bride Emily, who married the love of her life in the heart of the English countryside wearing our Rosemary gown. From a rain-kissed al fresco dinner to dancing on chairs surrounded by loved ones, Emily’s day was filled with timeless glamour, AI-inspired creativity, and cherished moments. In the following interview, she shares the memories she will never forget and how she became a GL Bride. As told by Emily:

"“When I walked down the aisle, I was told there were audible gasps from our guests at the beauty of the dress.”

A moment of your wedding day you will never forget?
The majority of our wedding was outdoors (in England, awful idea, I know), and during our al fresco dinner, it started to spit. Instead of this affecting the day, we and all of our guests got up on our chairs and started singing and dancing at the top of our lungs. Being able to look out at everyone together and see the immense love in the room for us was a moment that will stick with us forever.

One thing you wish you knew as a new bride? What advice would you give to future brides?
It’s very easy to get wrapped up in “being a bride” and wanting to achieve this level of perfection we think we need to have... it’s BS! Be yourself, laugh hard, smile big, ugly cry, don’t think about cameras, just be present and be yourself. I’d planned so many different portraits and photo moments before the wedding, and on the actual day itself, we were simply having too much fun to care!

A detail that made your wedding special/unique?
There were quite a few unique moments, but to name a couple. I decided to go for silver sequin bridesmaids’ dresses (iconic), and we based our entire wedding design around an AI image and a brainwave. It turned out better than we could have ever imagined.

How did you know your dress was 'the one'?
It was an instant feeling for both me and my mum. Even though we changed quite a few elements of the dress, the second I tried it on, absolutely nothing compared. I actually went to four other boutiques after finding Rosemary, and every dress I tried on just didn’t compare to the feeling I had when I wore her.

How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding? What was everyone’s reaction?
Even hanging my dress at our venue felt totally surreal, but putting it on with my mum’s help was the first “wow, we’ve made it” moment of the day. I suddenly felt calm once I was dressed, and I’ve truly never felt more spectacular in my life. When I walked down the aisle, I was told there were audible gasps from our guests at the beauty of the dress. I know I’m biased, but still to this day, I haven’t seen a more beautiful wedding dress.

Would you have done anything differently?
Not one thing.

What was your favorite part of the wedding to plan or most looking forward to?
The music! I come from a hugely musical background and truly feel music has a huge impact on the atmosphere of an event. I meticulously planned every single piece of music from pre-chuppah to after-party, and our guests are still talking about the music to this day!

How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?
My best friend Calum, who worked with Scott at the time, knew Scott fancied me (from seeing me on social media). He got me to come up to town to meet him for after-work drinks. A couple of weeks later, I got a DM, and we started dating. Then COVID hit, I stayed the night at Scott’s on a random Wednesday, woke up with a temperature of 40, and my mum wouldn’t let me come home! I ended up locked down with his whole family (meeting them for the first time) for two weeks, and the rest is history!

The proposal: I had booked a trip for Scott's birthday to the Amalfi Coast, spent months planning the itinerary, kept it a total surprise, but the real surprise was that he knew about it the entire time and planned for our last night for a beautiful setup on our hotel room balcony, overlooking the Positano coastline, and proposed! The most surreal night of my life.

How did you find working with the team at Galia Lahav?
Terry completely turned things around for me and treated me with such care, love, and dedication after initial issues. My seamstress, Renata, was also simply an angel sent from heaven. She is so incredibly talented and created things I didn’t even know were possible.

How many dresses did you try on before you found it?
Rosemary was actually one of the first dresses I tried on, but I felt it was too quick to make a decision. Every dress I tried after simply didn’t compare, and we just always knew I was ending up in her.

Anything else you’d like to add?
The quality, precision, beauty, and magic of GL dresses are genuinely out of this world. The London store also has something magical about it—just a feeling we got every time we were there.
