Galia Lahav’s bride of the day is Victoria Shields-Wray, wearing the Tiger Lily, like Victoria said, she wanted something a bit dramatic whilst still staying classic, and the Tiger Lily hit the spot. We totally agree with her, Victoria look incredible on her wedding day and it is so beautiful to see her and her husband walk the isle with bagpipes being a part of the wedding. It is inspiring to hear the stories of our brides every time and feel a part of it.
I had fallen in love with Galia Lahav courtesy of Pinterest before we were even engaged, so when it was time to start shopping, Browns Bride in London was my first port of call. The combination of beautiful dresses from Galia, plus the amazing staff at Browns meant I knew I was in the right place, but I just couldn’t decide which dress was mine. I returned a month later for the trunk show, and to see a wider selection of dresses and was fortunate enough to get both measured by Sharon Sever but also get sketched in my dress- amazing! I tried Tiger Lily on as a bit of a wild card, but the minute I saw my reflection I knew it was the one. I wanted something slightly different, a bit dramatic whilst still staying classic, and for me, Tiger Lily absolutely hit that brief.
Michael & I met at work five years ago. He had decided I was the one for him long before I even acknowledged his existence. We booked a holiday to Bali & Singapore about two weeks after our first date, so I guess he must have done something right!
We had always wanted to get married abroad, and Italy ticked all the boxes for good weather, great food and beautiful scenery. The highlight was undoubtedly seeing all our friends and family together in one place, enjoying something that we had put together- it was a really special feeling.
We had a short walk between the ceremony and reception venues, and unbeknown to our guests, we had arranged bagpipes to accompany us for the journey. Ravello is a tiny little town and I’m sure you could hear the Bagpipes from every corner! So many tourists and locals stood, watched and took photos as we proceeded past them!
It’s been a pleasure from start to finish. The staff at Browns (in particular Jenny & Maria) were wonderful and made it such a lovely experience for me. In addition, the Galia staff I met at the trunk show were lovely, and it was an honour to meet Sharon.
