Meet our lovely bride Tiffany who got married in Connecticut
I was so excited to be Tiffany bridal designer. We asked our beautiful Tiffany some questions about her special day and we are so touched with what she had to say! Here is more on our exclusive interview with Tiffany:
Q: How did you meet your husband?
It is a real life Grey’s Anatomy story. In the words of my husband he was an overconfident medical student struggling to draw blood and I was a nosy nurse who came to his rescue. I am a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room in the Bronx and he was wrapping up his 3rd year of medical school by rotating through my department. After some flirting at the bedsides of our patients the shift ended & we thought we would never see each other again. Fate intervened & our paths crossed once more. I was eating in the East Village in NYC with some friends several weeks after meeting him at work. It was a hot summer day so we were sitting outside chatting when Mani walked by. I recognized him immediately, my heart skipped a beat. It turned out he lived next door to a place I frequently visited. You can say we were in love even if we didn’t quite know it yet..
Q: How did you know he was the one?
My husband loves Rumi & there is a quote that says “Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere. They’re in each other all along.” You can say we were drawn to each other like a chemical reaction. We met at that same restaurant a few weeks later for drinks and we have been inseparable ever since. we share a passion for life, travel, meeting new people and trying new things.
Q: How did he propose you?
It was on November 12, 2011 the night of my 31st Birthday. We were leaving for Puerto Rico in the morning so we decided to grab dinner before heading to the airport. We went to a quaint little town called Tarrytown in Westchester NY. We get out of the car & start walking and there is a man playing the guitar on the street and he is video taping himself. So I duck under the camera and am about to keep walking when Mani stops me & tells the guy to play me a song for my Birthday. He began to play Wicked Games by Chris Isaak, it took me a moment to realize it was our song. I saw Mani fidgeting with the cap of his soda bottle. He hands it to me & I realize it is the cap from Argentina that we had saved. My fingers were shaking but I manged to open it. I unfolded the piece of paper & scribbled in his horrible doctor handwriting it said Will You Marry Me ? I am pretty sure I started crying & he got down on one knee. The rest is history The whole proposal was video taped and it was perfect. It was so us & I got to marry the man of my dreams 🙂
Q: What was the deciding factor when it came to picking out your gown?
I went to two other bridal stores before I went to Bridal Reflections and I kept asking people how will I know if it is my gown? I tried on so many but I felt absolutely nothing. I started to feel discouraged. As soon as I put on my Galia gown I knew. Something inside me started to glow. My Mom and I were both crying. I soon realized that all eyes were on me. Everyone’s jaws dropped and I could see that wow look on their faces. I knew that if I elicited that kind of reaction from strangers, it must be the one !! I was ecstatic. The detail was breathtaking. It was more emotional than I expected. I didn’t want to take it off and I couldn’t wait to see it again 🙂
Q: What were you looking for with your dress?
I knew I was looking for something with a vintage feel. I love Old Hollywood glam and Gatsby. I wanted sexy but classy, form fitting for sure. No poof for me lol. I didn’t want to get lost in my gown. I loved the idea of showing more in the back and less in the front and the open back is oh so sultry. Most importantly I wanted something unique. Something that people had never seen before. I wanted to leave people talking about my dress for days. Galia gave me all that and more !!!
Q: What was your favorite part of your wedding day?
I was such a calm bride. When I woke up I just wanted to see him. We decided to do a first look. When he saw me for the first time it was so cute he took out his phone and took a picture of me. It was so adorable. It was also an incredible feeling to see everything you worked so hard to plan right in front of you. All the details of your special day shining for everyone to enjoy. It was more beautiful and elegant than I had imagined. The best part was having our family and friends come from all around the world to celebrate with us. The love and joy were palpable. I woke up a married woman & said to my husband can I put my gown back on and do this again 🙂
