Bride Of The Week: Lyndal Yaqub

News

Our beautiful GLbride of the week is: Lyndal Yanke. She wore the amazing Desiree gown from Le Secret Royal collection and here is her story!

Lyndal and her husband met in Singapore in 2012. Lyndal saw him and just went for it. She tapped him on the shoulder and they could not stop smiling at each other. She knew right away that Neil was a loving, kind, humble man with good values (Lyndal says you can tell a lot about a person by the energy they project). Neil had kind eyes and an amazing warm smile. The moment Lyndal saw him, she knew that he was the man she was going to marry and the rest… is HISTORY!

On July 22, 2016, Lyndal got home after work and found a rose on the table with a card that asked her to meet Neil at the W on Sentosa, Singapore. Neil had booked the most amazing and luxurious suite at the W. It’s called the Wow Suite and it has its own large pool on the balcony (A-M-A-Z-I-N-G). Lyndal walked in and saw red rose petals o the floor of the suite starting from the door and then around the corner where she found Neil sitting on a couch looking very handsome, al dresses up. He then hugged her and told Lyndal he loved her and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him!!! Afterwards, they stayed for a romantic weekend at the hotel enjoying their company as newly engaged!

After finding the perfect groom, she had to find the perfect gown. Lyndal always knew she wanted a mermaid style gown in an ivory color with a WOW factor but in an understated elegant and classy way. She had looked at many designers, but she kept coming back to Galia Lahav. It didn’t take long to make up her mind after seeing the #Desiree (it’s really an amazing dress). She tried on dresses in Singapore, but ended up flying to Bella Bianca Bridal Couture in Chicago since they had her dream gown and that is where she said YES to the dress!!!

Their wedding was truly amazing! They had their wedding reception at the Drake Hotel in Chicago. She chose this place because it is a historical site and an icon of Chicago, oh and did we forget to mention it is where Princess Diana stayed in 1990 and 1996?? The whole wedding was perfect and Lyndal says it went by too quickly! Her favorite part was walking into the room right after they were introduced to the guests! She walked into Stevie Wonder’s song: signed, sealed, delivered. Lyndal said that it was an incredible feeling walking into the reception as husband and wife!

When we asked Lyndal about her experience with our brand she said that our style is unique (yeiiiii). She felt like a princess in the Desiree gown. It made her feel good. She told us that the amount of detail involved in her gown from the beading, Swarovski crystals to the lace, was absolutely stunning! She said: “I did not see any other designer gowns which had perfected this combination in a classy manner.”

Lyndal loved choosing her gown, her makeup and hair artists, photographer and flowers. Her wedding day exceeded her expectations and she told us she had to keep pinching herself to make sure that it was real all the time (wow, it really sound like a dream) and she would not have changed absolutely ANYTHING from her day!
