Bride of the Week: Diane Vigh

Our beautiful GLbride of the week is: Diane Vigh. She wore the timeless Loretta from the Tales Of The Jazz Age and she looked more than perfect. Her love story, her wedding, and her husband seem magical, so here it is…

Diane and her husband met in the summer of 2010 at an outdoor club called Romkert near the Danube in Budapest. He is a football player (uggghhh, like it could be even dreamier) and he was spending his summer break at home in Budapest and Diane was at the end of her first year of university. She says that according to her theory, he waved at her but he denies it (LOL). But, even without that, one thing led to another and they talked through the whole night and topped it off with a gyros at 5 o’clock in the morning. Then a few weeks later, they bumped into each other one more time at the same place and that is when he finally asked her for her number. Since then, it has been a crazy adventure they have shared together, with amazing memories and happy times. Diane says she just felt it from the very beginning that what they had was something truly unique (is this what you feel when you know it?)

After that, the wedding shopping began. Diane told us that from the very first moment she dreamed of getting married in a Galia Lahav gown. However, it was a long journey due to the fact that we don’t have a store in Budapest (yet) so she traveled to London to find the perfect dress. She found several of them like the Norma, the Crystal and more, but something was missing in them… A few months later she went to a Trunk Show in our flagship store in Hamburg. She said she didn’t want a dress that was puffy on the front and that was the reason she didn’t try on the #Loretta, but when she did, she told us she definitely had the goose bumps. Diane said it was not a question that the Loretta was the ONE. Diane described it like this: “I love the Loretta because it has everything: it is sophisticated, sexy, princess-like and womanly at the same time”

When we asked Diane about a highlight of her special day, she said it is too hard to pinpoint one moment and she loved absolutely everything about it. The pre-wedding, the morning of the wedding when she was getting ready with her best friends, the ceremony, walking the aisle with her dad, seeing her husband Peter standing under the wedding arch and especially a speech he gave and a surprise choreography for their first dance, which included songs about all the places they had lived together (this is soooo ROMANTIC).

And what we loved the most about Diane and Peter’s story is how they decided to have their four grandmothers walk as flowers girls. They liked the idea and gladly participated. In the morning, they had a rehearsal, but apparently not thorough enough because when Diane and her dad started walking, they were so mesmerized that they just stopped and eventually walked with them and threw the petals at them, not in front of them (this is the cutest story ever). Diane described it perfectly: “sometimes the things that turn out the best memories are things you never planned” and we totally agree!

We wish the best to this beautiful and romantic GLcouple!!!!
