Bride of the Week: Ashley Desch

News

Our beautiful GLbride of the Week is Ashley Desch. She wore the stunning Odette gown from La Dolce Vita collection.

Ashley and her husband met in Las Vegas (well this means this story is going to be really interesting). Ashley was out here for a girls’ trip and met her husband while he was working as a flair bartender at one of her favorite bars on the strip. He amazed her with his tricks (why are bartenders ALWAYS so attractive???), so they exchanged numbers. After she went back home to California, they decided to take things slow. Eventually, the long distance made them realize how much they really loved each other and a year later Ashley left everything she had to move to Vegas to be with him and she had never been happier!\\Ashley’s husband proposed to her while they were on a vacation in Kauai. It was the first day after they checked into their room, they decided to go explore the hotel. They were walking along the beach when they saw that they were setting up for a wedding under some huge trees overlooking the ocean. It was a beautiful spot so they decided to go over there and take a picture. After they snapped the photo, he got down on one knee, presented her a gorgeous ring and asked her to make him the happiest man alive by becoming his wife…. and of course, she said yes (*sighs* WOW).

Ashley fell in love with Galia Lahav while looking at wedding dresses online. So when she went dress shopping with her friends and family, and Ashley told us she knew that would be her dream designer and she would be so lucky to be able to wear one of our gowns on her wedding day. Her wedding dress was the very first dress that she tried on in the first dress store that they went to. Ashley knew right away that it was her dress, it fit her like a glove and was absolutely perfect! She says it was the easiest decision she had ever made (wowww, so lucky right?)

They got married on October 30th, 2016 at Twin Oaks Garden Estate in San Marcos, CA. Ashley knew that she wanted a Fall wedding since it is her favorite season. Their venue was in a vintage enchanted garden with thousands of twinkling lights all over the trees. There were gorgeous crystal chandeliers hanging all around the venue. They had small white sparkly pumpkins everywhere so it truly felt like being in a Cinderella fairytale. Ashley described it as it was everything she had ever wanted and more.

When we asked Ashley about her wedding’s favorite part, she told us that the couple kept it traditional and didn’t do a first look, so seeing her husband’s face light up as she was walking down the aisle will be a moment she’ll never forget.

The whole wedding, the experience, and the couple sound like a dream and we hope for them all the joy in the world!!!
