Bride Of The Week: Shamain Frasier

Our beautiful GLbride of the week is: Shamain Frasier. She wore the Suzanne from the Homage to the Sizzling 1920’s collection and looked like a true queen.  The Galia Lahav team fell in love with her love story and wedding experience and wanted to share it with all past and future GLbrides to be.

Shamaine met her husband when she was 16 years old, at her summer job at Burger King in 2003. Their relationship began with a friendship before they finally turned into lovers.  Around 12 years after they met, Kimdrick took Shamaine out to a beautiful Valentine’s Day waterfront dinner, and surprised her by inviting her entire family.  Right before the check came, he told her that Valentine’s Day should be celebrated with the people you love, and then he got down on one knee and proposed.  Even though they had been together for so long, Shamaine cried because she was so surprised, and because it was so beautiful.

Now onto the dress…

Shamaine went to around ten stores and tried on over 20 dresses before finally finding her perfect match.  After a frustrating search, she attended a Galia Lahav trunk show in Boca Raton, Florida, not knowing what to expect.  When she tried on the Suzanne dress, she instantly started crying, and knew it was the one.  Immediately, she fell in love with the sheer back, trumpet style silhouette, beaded French lace and metallic lace appliqués.  Not only did Shamaine think that the quality and details of the dress were breathtaking, but the dress fit her perfectly. She didn’t even need alterations- it was fate.

Up until the morning of her wedding, Shamaine stressed over her hair, make up, table arrangements, etc.  Understandably, she wanted everything to be perfect and she hoped the white flower bouquets and the splashes of gold would come together the way she had imagined. When the ceremony began, Shamaine trembled the entire way down the aisle, taking in a deep breath with each step she took.  Once she said the two simple words “I do,” she felt like a breath of fresh air.  She was ready to enjoy the party and to celebrate with her family and friends.  She danced and partied all night, and thoroughly enjoyed the celebration.

“My wedding was more than what I dreamed of,” says Shamaine.  “It was emotional, beautiful, and fun. I loved everything about it and if I could do it all over again there is not one single thing that I would change.”

Wishing a lifetime of love and happiness to Shamaine and Kimdrick.
