We asked Mirella to share some of her wedding experiences with us, from the planning process to the event itself. As told by Mirella:
1. How did you meet your husband?
We met on Tinder in 2013. He was moving to Brazil after 10 years of living in Europe and I was moving back to Brazil after studying abroad in Spain. We didn’t know many people in São Paulo at that time so Tinder helped us.
2. How did you he propose?
We live on the road and for the past 4 years, we have been traveling the world within a Camper. We were in Canada and he was supposed to stay there and wait for me while I was at a business meeting in Brazil. But he tricked me into thinking he had some business meetings as well. As soon as we landed he had prepared a full day of surprises starting with a Spa. Then he took me to a beauty salon, and then we went to a hotel where he had a video pre-recorded with a romantic message. He pressed the play button and left the room. The message was amazing and at the end, it said: “I need to ask you something really important so if you want to hear what I have to ask you please come to meet me at the restaurant of the hotel.” As soon I got the there he got down on one knee and proposed. It was as really amazing.
3. How did you find your perfect dress? And how did you decide to buy it?
I always wanted to do have something simple but with a little something extra. So one day I was on Instagram and I saw a picture of the Gala 808, I’m not sure how but it was love at first sight. I was in Austria and I was able to try the dress when we got to London. I went to a store and the lady was asking me many questions about the wedding and how I wanted my dress, but I didn’t want to try anything else so I wouldn’t get confused. So I tried the dress and that was the one. It was the only wedding dress that I ever tried.
4. Where was your wedding?
It was a small and intimate wedding in Costa Brava Spain in a historic building that is close to a lighthouse. We closed the hotel for the wedding and our friends that live in many countries around Europe joined us at the ceremony.
5. What was the theme? Did it require special planning? Share with us.
We organized all ourselves, hired someone to take care of the decorations and the hotel helped us with the buffet and everything else. Since it was a small wedding for only 20 guests we managed to organize it ourselves.
6. Which was your favorite part?
The ceremony. It was a good friend of us that was the ceremonialist and the vows were really special.
7. How was your experience with the Galia Lahav brand?
The dress is amazing and fits perfectly. When I shared the dress I was wearing on social media the followers were mesmerized by it.
8. What did you enjoy the most about planning your wedding?
The whole process. We really love being with our friends so knowing that we were going to host them and spend a whole weekend together was the best part. It was definitely the wedding I dreamed of!
