Julina met her husband, Lachlan, through mutual friends during a night out in Manly, Australia. While the two knew of each other beforehand, they immediately hit it off on the first night they were introduced. From there, they dated for six years. One weekend, they went on a camping trip down the South Coast of Australia. It was the last day of their trip, and they decided to wake up early and watch the sunrise, so they went on a walk up to the headland. As they were watching the sunrise, Lachlan dropped down on one knee and proposed.
Julina was first introduced to Galia Lahav when she fell in love with a Galia Lahav dress her family friend wore on her wedding day. Then she started noticing more Galia Lahav designs on Instagram, and knew she wanted to be married in one of our modern and elegant dresses. So, when Julina finally got engaged, she immediately booked an appointment at Eternal Bridal in Sydney. She tried on a few dresses before falling in love with the GALA 708. Even though she knew it was the perfect dress, Julina still felt like she had to try on gowns from a few other designers. However, she quickly found that nothing else compared, and that the GALA 708 was without a doubt, the perfect dress for her.
Because the couple met in Manly, they knew that had to have their wedding there. They settled on having the ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and then the reception at the Many Pavilion Ballroom. While there was no direct theme, Julina knew she wanted the event to be clean, fresh and elegant. She had her bridesmaids wear white and the groomsmen in black tux’s. The ballroom of the venue is elegantly decorated, and situated over the water, so they had amazing and uninterrupted views the entire time.
Julina loved planning her wedding, because she was able to use many of her talented friends as suppliers, making it so much more fun! Her family did her floral arrangements, her invitations and stationary were done by her cousins wife and her hair and makeup were done by close friends and Julina’s mother. She loved how much more personal it made the wedding feel.
While Julina said the entire day went as smoothly as possible, and felt like an absolute dream, her favorite memory from the day was her husband’s speech. It was personal and emotional, and something she will always remember forever.
Overall, Julina’s wedding was exactly how she imagined, and she couldn’t have been happier.
Congrats to this amazing #GLcouple, Julina and Lachlan. Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness!
