Bride Of The Week: Juliette Mutuyimana

Our beautiful GLbride of the week is: Juliette Mutuyimana. She wore the Elsa gown from Les Reves Bohemians collection and looked absolutely perfect.

Juliette met her husband, Richard, through a close friend from university and their chemistry was instant.  Richard is a dentist and Juliette is a doctor, and it was obvious that the two shared the same values and interests. Juliette was immediately attracted to Richard’s understanding, caring, patient and humble personality.

On the eve of Valentine’s Day, Richard planned a day at the theatre, and booked a romantic dinner at a restaurant overlooking Hyde Park and most of London.  After dinner, he brought Juliette to a room filled with red petals.  He sat her down and played the guitar, singing his version of the love song “Yours,” while a slide show in the background displayed photos of the couple’s favorite memories together.  At the end of the song, Richard the romantic got down on one knee and proposed.

As she began searching for her dress, Juliette knew she wanted one with a perfect fit and a beautiful back.   She tried on multiple dresses at multiple stores, but never felt like she had found “the one.”  Finally, Juliette’s sister showed her a few dresses by Galia Lahav, and she knew she had to try one.  Upon walking into Browns Brides London, Juliette knew that this was where she would find the dress of her dreams.  The pearl and crystal back and long train of the Elsa instantly stole her heart, and she knew this is the dress she would wear on her special day.

Juliette and Richard planned the entire wedding themselves! The wedding took place at Braxed Park Estate in the beautiful countryside of Essex, UK. The couple chose a white and gold color scheme, and the bridal party wore gold dresses while the groomsmen wore gold ties. Furthermore, the couple also added a little African Infusion into the reception, with African drummers and dancers along with African food.

While she loved and cherished every part of her wedding day, Juliette said her favorite part was when Richard surprised her by singing “Angel of Mine,” during the church service with the choir, and this moment will forever stay in her heart.  Nevertheless, Juliette was honored to have her greatest hero (her father) walk he down the aisle, and was completely blown away by both her dad and Richard’s speeches.  “It was the best day of our lives and to see so many family and friends come to support and witness our love was just sensational and overwhelming,” said Juliette.

Overall, Juliette enjoyed the entire wedding planning process, from choosing the venue, the wedding card designs, the decor, the cake tasting, the food tasting and of course the wedding dress shopping!! Juliette said their families and friends, bridesmaids and groomsmen were invaluable for everything they did to help throughout the wedding planning.

Wishing all the best to Juliette and Richard!
