Bride of the Day: Ellie

Galia Lahav’s bride of the day is Ellie Martin – wearing the Blossom gown from the Les Reves Bohemian collection. The low V and the long train that seems to run to no end, allows for a unique balance of contemporary elegance and victorian sophistication. One is almost lost as Ellie’s beauty, seamlessly melds with the gown, a duet that definitely leaves more than just her groom speechless. Congratulations to the newlyweds!

This dress was a dream come true. I had always wished for a low back, fitted wedding dress with a unique twist. I had admired Galia Lahav as soon as I saw her designs on Pinterest, I never thought I would be lucky enough to wear one of her beautiful designs! As soon as I noticed ‘Browns Bride’ had trunk show for Galia, I decided to book an appointment. Some of my family and friends came down to London with me, and we decided to make a day of it! I went to my appointment and tried on 3 dresses, I loved them all! But I fell in love with the second dress – ‘Blossom’. It was fitted and had the low back I loved! But what really sold me on it was the blush tulle with the train, the colour of the dress itself, and the off the shoulders look. It was so beautiful!

I met Matt when I worked in a local pub, we were friends initially. As time went on, we went on our first date to the cinema, and then to the pub after, we clicked instantly! I knew I wanted to see him again, from then on we went on many more dates, and the rest is history!

So many highlights it’s hard to pick just one! Where we got married, I had to walk down a grand stair case and then down the aisle. Matt saw me for the first time at the top of the staircase, and he cried when he saw me! Walking down the aisle, and saying our vows was such a special moment and my favourite moment of the day.
Another highlight for me is when my dad saw me for the first time, I am not usually one for crying at stuff like this. But both dad and I burst into tears. My sister in law and mother in law then started crying, and my bridesmaids were beaming. It was such a great moment, you could just feel so much love from everyone.

Matt’s parents surprised us by arranging fireworks and the backing music to go with it. Matt and I are massive Harry Potter fans! The first song in the firework display was the theme tune for Harry Potter. Both Matt and I were so excited! It was then followed by Take That – Rule The World and Dirty Dancing – I’ve Had The Time Of My Life, we loved the whole display, it was the perfect end to a perfect day.

The process from picking my dream wedding dress, to the fittings, to bringing the dress home was brilliant! I had such an amazing experience, everyone at ‘Browns Bride’ and the Galia staff were so helpful. Any worries or questions I had, I felt at ease knowing that I could contact them whenever and everyone would be more than happy to help. Thank you! My husband absolutely loved the wedding dress! The dress is everything I dreamed of and more, If I could wear it everyday I would!
