Paris Couture Fashion Week 2018: And God Created Woman

News

The Galia Lahav team is still over the moon from the release of our newest evening collection, And God Created Woman, at this year’s Paris Couture Fall/Winter 2018-2019 Fashion Week.  Inspired by the French Riviera, the collected is rooted in vibrant tulles reminiscent of the seaside and the colors and curves of floral patterns, taking inspiration from abstract expressionism and Monet’s impressionism.

The fashion show took place on July 4, at the beautiful l’́École de Médecine museum in Paris. In contrast to previous Galia Lahav collections, And God Created Woman is more flirtatious and free in its silhouettes and shapes.  With a plethora of silhouettes including jumpsuits, corset tops and t-shirt dresses, the collection features bold and fresh colors like acid and emerald green, ice pink and denim blue.  The contrast of the grandiose staircase and Parisian architecture of the venue with the bold and colorful looks, gave the overall aesthetic a regal secret-garden feel.

Of course, it wouldn’t have been a Galia Lahav fashion show without the appearance of our favorite celebrities and influencers.  Olivia Palermo, Paola Turani and Kimberly Garner were among just a few of our favourite bloggers who attended.

We also wish to extend a huge thank you to everyone who participated in putting the show together.  We had the help of stylist Simon Elmalem for creative decisions. Our 18 gorgeous models wore accessories by Keren Wolf and sunglasses by Linda Farrow. The shoes were by Alevi Milano.  You can view some of our favorite looks below!
