One of the best things about creating bridal dresses for our dear brides is watching our creations come to life on our beautiful ladies. Sam was a flawless bride and made our team so proud with her grace and elegant presence on her wedding day. Our darling bride was dressed in our Madison gown. The dress is a form fitted mermaid shape with glamorous embroidered lace with colossal and dramatic train made from layers and ruffles of tulle and vintage lace.. If you like Sam’s look then check out more photos in this link for the rest of our collection!
1. With so many bridal options today, what was the deciding factor when it came to picking out your gown? Did the store took good care of you? Is there anything you would like to mention about it?
Since becoming engaged, I started following different designers…instantly I fell in love with Galia Lahav dresses.I mentioned the designer to my mum who fell in love with the dresses also, instantly we booked a ticket to Sydney & an appointment at Eternal Bridal. We wanted to make the most of the trip and booked in a few appointments with different designers. The first stop we thought we had found the one, very excited however thought we would all be a little more emotional…Decided we would still go to Eternal Bridal as we couldn’t help ourselves.
The first dress I tried on was the Madison gown…. words can’t describe! What an incredible moment. I tried on two other dresses which were amazing, however the Madison was definitely the one!!! The girls at the store were so excited and bubbly that it made the experience so much fun as well as being rather emotional. The moment we walked into the store we felt so warm and welcome. The girls were phenomenal. We cancelled all of the other appointments as we had found the perfect dress.
I only had one other fitting after the first trial…. and it was absolutely perfect on the day. The designer is a legend & the team compliments this perfectly.
2. How did you meet your husband and how did you know he was the one?
Dave & I went to the same school, he was a few grades above yet we never truly met each other. We officially met when we were introduced by a mutual friend, while watching my favourite band ‘The Dandy Warhols’. I said to my friend the moment after I met him, that I needed to see him again & one day I will marry him! Sounds strange but it happened. A week later was our first kiss & the rest is history!
3. Where did you get married and can you tell us about your wedding day?
We got married at the Intercontinental resort, Sanctuary Cove. We had the reception in the Grange room which is complimented by high ceilings with exposed wooden beams, rustic chandelier in the centre. The Ceremony was held in a large marquee just outside of the reception room, on the grass outside.
It was an incredible day, full of everyone we loved, great music, lots of dancing and delicious champagne…The ceremony was very emotional (which I generally am not!) so that threw me! It was the best. The reception was too much fun.
4. What was the highlight of your special day?
The ceremony, never imagined how emotional it would be. Everything about it is so special. Speeches are so much fun also….
Definitely the two highlights!
5. Can you tell us a fun anecdote about your wedding day?
We stayed up dancing with our favourite people, and ended up in a bath at 3am eating pizza together. Best night ever.
6. Dig everything go as you dreamt it or planned it? Or did something unexpected happened?
Everything went to plan, nothing major unexpected happened aside from some very embarrassing speeches, that is generally a given though! We were both very relaxed, so I think that helped…no high expectations means no major disappointments I believe.
