Imagine if the Grammys, the Oscars, the Tonys, the Met Gala and a dash of FIFA all came together for one unforgettable, blow-out celebration. Well, considering the international who’s-who of A-list guests — and breathtaking couture bridal fashion — that's exactly how to describe the wedding of singer-actor Marc Anthony and model Nadia Ferreira, who wore two stunning custom-designed Couture Galia Lahav dresses.
The global superstar and 2021 Miss Universe Paraguay (and 2022 first runner up) tied the knot on January 28 with a moving ceremony, opulent banquet and spectacular dance party reception at Miami’s renowned Perez Art Museum. Fittingly, white wedding was the theme, with beautiful alabaster roses, orchids and hydrangeas decorating the space. The bridesmaids all carried rose bouquets, with the glowing bride showcasing orchids.
The illustrious guest list of 200 friends and family included the Beckhams — David, one of Anthony’s two best men, and Victoria, with children Harper, Cruz and Brooklyn — and billionaire Carlos Slim Domit, the second best man (in no particular order of friendship, mind you). Oscar nominee Salma Hayek and Fast & Furious franchise star Vin Diesel represented Hollywood, along with Hamilton’s Lin Manuel Miranda and Anthony Ramos. Bringing the music industry eminence, Maluma served as a groomsman, with Daddy Yankee also attending in support. (Wait, Posh, who designed the navy bridesmaid dresses, counts, too, right?)
A moved Anthony cried tears of joy, as he watched Ferriera walk down the aisle to one of his recently recorded ballads. Her custom gown stunned with Galia Lahav’s signature couture detail and flourishes, starting with intricate corsetry and graceful power shoulders. Delicate floral appliqués and embroidery, glittering with elaborate beading, bloomed along the illusion bodice and long-sleeved bolero down onto ethereal layers of tulle.
“It was an absolute pleasure to create these two custom gowns with Nadia. She was incredibly sweet throughout the whole process & trusted me and the team to make her vision come to life!” Says Head Designer Sharon Sever. “Seeing her in her dress for the first time and the way her face & eyes lit up was such a special moment – she was an absolute vision!”
The festivities then smoothly transitioned into the three-course dinner reception. The newlyweds — or “Mr & Mrs. Muñiz” as both wrote on Instagram — took their first dance to Anthony’s “You Are So Beautiful.” An expansive wall of romantic white flowers perfectly framed the dazzling appliqués on the Ferriera’s gown.
Next up: the party, packed with performances by actor/singer Angelo Pagán’s band, and beats by DJ Xtreme and DJ Cassidy — plus, a second custom wedding look on Ferriera. She hit the dance floor in a playfully glamorous strapless mini-dress with a sweetheart neckline and bridal-appropriate tulle train. Glittering sequins, shimmering embroideries and fluttering feathers caught the lights — and all eyes — as Ferriera and guests grooved the night away.
