Looking towards the bride who is set to celebrate big on her special day, the collection is inspired by a return to exhilarating energy. This collection is for the bride who wants to step out and shine. “A fresh attitude on life is what we need at the moment, and now more than ever couples want to celebrate each other and their love with their family and friends around them,” says head designer Sharon Sever.
The couture collection is about glamour, sparkle, and drama—everything the Galia Lahav fashion house is known for, plus elevated with contemporary opulence. The gowns feature new couture techniques to introduce modern, yet timeless silhouettes. A focus of the collection is on lots of volume without the weight to offer effortless movement, graceful lightlessness, and elegant drape allowing the bride to dance and mingle all night.
Signature trumpet and mermaid silhouettes are present in the collection; and classic shapes like ball gown and A-line silhouettes get an update, such as with voluminous box-pleated skirts or new waistlines dropped from the hips, so that the volume of the skirt starts lower to give the bride a slimmer look. The collection includes gowns that go from ceremony to afterparty, such as romantic ball gowns with corset bodices and 3D embroidery; as well as sultry mermaid dresses embellished with exclusive lace and allover hand beading. Gowns of petal-like blush and nude tones are finished with spectacular trains that command attention. And for the edgy bride, daring peekaboo details and cutouts are made elegant on figure-fitting silhouettes. To complete her look, matching cathedral-length veils, overskirts, capes, overcoats, and jackets allow the bride to transform her gown throughout the day.
