Like your engagement party dress doubles as a teaser for your stunner of a wedding gown, your betrothal celebration also serves as a sneak peek — and joyful dry run — for your upcoming big day. Both allow you to express your individuality and personal style, while celebrating your exciting future with your soul mate.

Just look at fashion and lifestyle influencer Kelsey Diprima and her singular mix of effortless SoCal chic with a playful and adventurous edge. She applied her magic touch both to her Jasmine gown, from the Galia Lahav Pret-a-Porter collection, and her stunning outdoor engagement bash. As for the dress, the minimalist longline silhouette and sharp plunging v-neckline also feels maximalist with luxurious details: an intricate twist at the waistline, dramatic chapel train and a hidden bodysuit to celebrate the body and ensure a streamlined fit. Kelsey also showed her distinct style and fun-loving personality with a punky-chunky chain necklace, sultry see-through heels and her undone beachy waves.

With her keen eye for style and design, and with the help of select vendors, the FIDM graduate perfected the party décor to create a breathtaking setting for a memorable — and very Instagrammable — evening. Wildflowers Floral Design built a fairy tale-reminiscent hedge, with tall white roses and lilies, along the stairway leading down to a pristine blue pool overlooking sweeping views of Ventura County. Flickering ivory candles, in varied sizes and encased in luxe glass votives, adorned the steps — making for an especially romantic grand entrance and exit with the flowing chapel train of the Jasmine gown. Formations of flickering votives also framed the glimmering pool, with scattered petals atop the water. Rows of string lights created further ambience for the glam, but relaxed festivities.

Warm and welcoming nature-inspired signage greeted the guests, who then cozied up to an architecturally rustic carved wood outdoor bar, with champagne chilling in industrial-cool metal buckets. The Williamsburg, erm, Silverlake-appropriate stations further provided an outfit moment for Kelsey to personalize her Jasmine gown — and stay warm in the cool SoCal evening breeze — by throwing on a rocked-out black leather moto-jacket.

Kelsey’s wedding party also enjoyed the opportunity to sartorially practice for the ceremony in referential, but individual minidresses with coordinating puff sleeves and wrap-front details. But of course, Kelsey remained the VIP of the evening (sorry fiancé Austin). She absolutely glowed in the excitement of her upcoming nuptials, an evening with loved ones and success of a perfect, picturesque engagement party evening. A very good omen for her big day to come — and creative inspo for those planning festivities of your own. Cheers!
