Our #GLBride of the week is the beautiful Yvonne Radsmikham, who wore our Bella gown. Her and her fiance held an unforgettable wedding with a fun reception complete with a silent disco. In the following interview, Yvonne shares the moments she'll love forever and how she became a GL bride! As told by Yvonne:

A moment of your wedding day will you never forget?

The ceremony was the most magical part of our wedding. It was everything I dreamed of! Both of our vows were so well-written and hilarious. Even though it was short and sweet, it was by far the most memorable part of the day.

One thing you wish you knew as a new bride? What advice would you give to future brides?

Be present and enjoy yourself. You want to soak in every minute because there might not be another moment in your life where you will have everyone you love all in one room celebrating YOU!

Oh, and maybe leave the kids at home.

A detail that made your wedding special/unique?

One, we had a silent disco and it was a BLAST. Everyone enjoyed listening to the different channels and having their own headphones. It was really neat to see people dancing to different music all on the same dance floor.

Two, we choreographed our first dance, which made it so much more memorable.

How did you know your dress was 'the one'?

I tried it on and felt like a goddess. That’s all it took!

How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding? What was everyone's reaction to the dress?

I felt the most beautiful I’ve ever felt in my entire life. Like most women struggling with insecurities, I’ve never felt more confident being myself. Everyone had jaw-dropping reactions and I’ve never felt more empowered being the center of attention. My wedding dress will forever be the most beautiful thing I’ll ever wear.

Would you have done anything differently?

Not at all. It was the most perfect day!

What was your favourite part of the wedding to plan/you were most looking forward to?

That’s a tough question. The ceremony will definitely be the most special moment for me, but honestly, some other favorites include the silent disco, the food, and entering to RL Grime’s Halloween Mix (our wedding was on Halloween).

How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?

We met at our first job out of college. I wasn’t really into him in the beginning, but he eventually made his way to my heart after many sushi dates and backpacking trips, haha.

We’re both climbers/mountaineers, and one year we had the objective of summiting The Grand Teton! I knew he was in the process of designing a ring at the time, but didn’t think he would carry the actual ring to the top of the mountain and propose to me. I still don’t see how he thought it was a good idea to this day, lol.

How did you find working with the team at Galia Lahav?

Absolutely the best. Everything went as expected, and I could not have asked for a better group of people to help make my special day.

How many dresses did you try on before you found it?

Probably five in total, but my wedding dress was the first I tried on, and I just knew in the very beginning that it was the one. I just couldn’t help but explore other options!
