Today's GLBride of the week is gorgeous Victoria, who wore our Jessie gown on her special day. The lovely couple tied the knot with a beautiful outdoor wedding at the historic Camp Hale in Denver Colorado. In the following interview, Victoria shares the details of her dream wedding and her journey to becoming a GL Bride! As told by Victoria:

Their Love Story Told by Victoria...

Chris and I definitely have a special love story. We matched on a dating app in November 2018 in a place very special to us where both families have vacationed our whole lives (turns out our family condos are 5 mins down the road so weโ€™ve definitely passed each other on the beach before). We never met in person, but kept talking and had our first date on FaceTime!

I was living in New York and he was at school in Indiana. After 2 months, he flew to New York to meet me and we never looked back. We were long-distance for months, even braving a 12-hour time difference when I lived in Hong Kong! When the pandemic started, we high-fived and agreed to spend lockdown together. Fast forward to winter 2021 we moved to Vail for the winter and decided to settle in Denver. It was so special having our loved ones come to Vail for our wedding, and watching them experience such a cherished place. We got married at Camp Hale, which became a US national monument a few weeks later!

My mom and I purchased the gown at “Little White Dress” in Denver, CO. It was the first time she saw our new home and traveled toย Colorado. I’d always imagined trying on dresses in NYC where I am from, but we were determined to make this moment special. We packed in 3 appointments during her visit, and this was our last appointment before she left the next day…

Jesse was the first dress I tried on, and when my dressing room opened, my mom started crying. She said (in her Greek accent) “we’re done, this is the one!” but I wanted to make sure we tried other options. I think I tried ten other dresses on that day, and when I put Jesse back on and added a veil, I started tearing and had “that feeling.”

I spent the next 12 months sneaking peeks of photos we took in the dress almost every night before bed. The dress was a perfect match for my style and venue: whimsical, timeless, and unique. I’ll always look back on our wedding day and remember just how special I felt.
