Our GL Bride of the week is the lovely Taina Brockway, who married her fiance Brandon in our GALA 708 gown. The couple chose to wed at the Cave B Estate Winery overlooking the scenic Colombia River Gorge in Washington. Taina shares with us how she found the dress she always imagined and her favorite wedding moments. As told by Taina:

Tell us a little bit about you and your husband. How did you two meet?

I received a friend request and private message via Facebook when I was a junior and he was a senior in high school. We went to different high schools and had a few mutual friends but had never seen/heard of each other. We met up about a week after him messaging me and the rest was history. Oh, the perks of social media and how it can connect you within anyone in this world.

How did you he propose?

We were vacationing in Hawaii and rented mopeds one day and cruised around the entire island of Oahu. We ended up at Lanai lookout and walked to the cliffs that overlooked the ocean where he then proposed to me. He told me later on that he had no idea/a set plan of where he was planning on doing it but when he felt the moment was right he knew he would pop the question.

How did you find your perfect dress? And how did you decide to buy it?

I went to 4 different bridal shops and tried on realistically over 45 gowns. I had a specific image in my head, I knew I wanted lace, form-fitting, with a deep v neckline. When I found the perfect Galia Lahav dress I knew it was the one I was going to purchase the minute I put it on. I don’t know quite how to explain the feeling but when you know, you know. It was also the only dress that I tried on that made my mom tear up.

Where was your wedding?

Our wedding was at a sophisticated vineyard located on the Colombia River Gorge in Quincy, WA. The venue is called Cave B Estate Winery.

What was the theme? Did it require special planning? Share with us.

I knew I wanted to do it at a winery with beautiful views and vineyards to act in place of physical decorations. I wanted an outdoor bohemian-esque vibe. We had a few floral arrangements here and there but ultimately let the views do the talking and set the tone of our wedding theme.

Which was your favorite part?

I’d have to say seeing him for the first time on the day of. It hit me all at once that everything we’ve been planning for was all happening right then and there at that very moment. Another favorite part of mine that day was the fact that we were able to gather both sides of our families and friends together, so much love that day.

How was your experience with the Galia Lahav brand?

I remember first coming across this designer on pinterest and was so intrigued by their uniqueness. From start to finish my experience was unforgettable. This brand has set a whole new tone for chic/luxurious bridal gowns; I wouldn’t have chosen any other designer.

Where did you purchase the dress?

The Dress Theory located in Seattle, WA

What did you enjoy the most about planning your wedding?

Working with all of our incredible vendors, they made this process as smooth and stress-free as possible. I also enjoyed searching for the wedding parties’ attire and selecting our colors. Of course seeing everything come to life the day of was so remarkable.

What advice would you give to all our future GL brides?

Be prepared for the endless compliments to come your way in your future GL bridal gown. You will not regret your decision to purchase a Galia Lahav gown.

Was your wedding the way you dreamed it?

Beyond anything I could have ever dreamt of. I wish I could relive it over and over again.
