Our #GLBride of the week is the beautiful Louisa Wyatt, who wore our GALA 104 on her wedding day. Louisa and her fiancé Dom held their unforgettable nuptials at the stunning Amalfi coast. In the following interview, Louisa shares with us behind-the-scenes details of her romantic wedding in Italy and how she found the dream dress for her special day. As told by Louisa:

How did you meet your husband? Tell us a little bit about your relationship.

We bumped into each other on a night out in Manchester, UK 7 years ago and we moved in together 6 months later. The rest is history! Since then we’ve traveled the world together and made many beautiful memories.

How did he propose?

On a boat named ‘Amore’ on the Amalfi Coast 2017. He dropped the anchor facing Positano and got down on one knee, it was perfect!

How did you start planning your wedding? What were the first steps?

I started by writing my guest list and searching for our dream wedding venue. I hired a wedding planner in Ravello once we picked the venue and he helped me from the get-go, he was amazing!

Did you do any beauty or fitness prep for your big day?

I had my teeth veneered, worked out 3 times a week and followed a Paleo diet.

What was your wedding theme?

Romantic and glamorous.

How did you choose your location?

It was the most beautiful place we ever visited and sentimental since Dom proposed on the Amalfi so we wanted to share this incredible memory and experience with our loved ones and give them the time of their lives.

How did you decide on your bridesmaid style?

I wanted a classy color that would tie in with our flowers and a shape which would flatter the bridesmaids’ figures. I went for a soft grey, fitted, halter neck dress with a mermaid fit and trail. They were stunning and perfect for our setting.

How did you find your perfect dress?

I went to London as I heard Browns Bride was the most exclusive bridal store in the UK. I followed them and Galia Lahav ever since I can remember and always knew that I would have a Galia Lahav dress – I wasn’t wrong. The minute I tried the first dress on I knew it was made for me. It conformed to my body and the detail was exquisite.

How was your experience with the Galia Lahav brand?

Perfect from the minute I tried the dress on until the minute I took it off on my wedding night. Galia has always answered my queries on Instagram and meeting the team at the Trunk Show made me even more assured that I was going with the right designer, you’ve all been simply amazing.

What was the most important thing for you and your husband when planning your wedding?

That we enjoyed every minute of it and treasured memories along the way not forgetting the true meaning of the event. It was important that the details would reflect our personalities.

What was your first wedding song?

“Take my hand” by The Picture.

What did you enjoy the most about planning your wedding?

Definitely, finding my wedding dress! It was like finding my husband – when you know, you know!

What advice would you give to all our future brides?

Do your research and remember to cherish every moment of the lead up to your wedding, you will hopefully never do it again!

What moment from your wedding will you never forget?

Seeing my husbands face as I walked down the aisle towards him.
