Our #GLBride of the week is the gorgeous Jocelyn Garitty-Lee, who said YES to her forever, Chay, wearing a custom G-104 gown. The happy couple exchanged vows at a beautiful resort in Mexico. In the following interview, Jocelyn takes us along her bridal journey and shares all intimate and intricate details of her scenic romantic wedding and how she became a GL Bride. As told by Jocelyn:

What moment from your wedding will you never forget?

A moment I will never forget… walking down the aisle felt like a dream. The saxophone playing Stevie Wonder, the ocean breeze, and my husband crying (which he was 100% confident he would not do). All of my guests crying… it was very special.

What advice would you give to all our future brides?

One thing I wish I knew as a new bride. My company got a lot of new business right before the wedding and I did not get to spend enough time focusing on details for the wedding, like my outfit for the bridal shower, shoes for the welcome party, etc. Every single moment is so special and once in a lifetime, I wish I had prioritized them more.

A detail that made your wedding special/ unique?

My husband did a rap cypher for me.. it was pretty epic 🙂

How did you know your dress was 'the one'?

I knew my dress was the one immediately. I did not plan to find my dress that day. I was more-so giving my LA friends an experience of wedding planning with me. But as soon as I put it on.. it felt like the exact dress for my venue and my husband. Couldn’t imagine a better dress!!

How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding? What was everyone's reaction to the dress?

Putting on my dress was one of the best moments of my life. Everyone loved it – and I felt so beautiful. I have a ton of insecurities and that dress made me look exactly how I wanted to that day. I could cry thinking about it.

Would you have done anything differently?

If I could do anything differently, I would have had a photographer for the entire weekend of events, vs just the wedding day. I want to relive the welcome dinner, night club, and pool party!

What was your favourite part of the wedding to plan/you were most looking forward to?

I was looking most forward to the guests reaction to the venue, the florals, and wearing my dress!

How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?

I went to a last minute Thanksgiving dinner in 2019. Two other people crashed it as well, and by the end of the night the only guy there said he had to set me up with his best friend since he was 5 years old. Chay didn’t want to meet me at first because of our age difference, but once we met – the rest is history! He proposed on Valentine’s Day at The Williamsburg Hotel.. holding signs “Love Actually” style with “Find Someone Like You” playing – it was straight out of a rom com.

How did you find working with the team at Galia Lahav?

The entire staff at Galia Lahav was wonderful. I just wish I could relive every moment. I wish everyone could find their dream dress with Anthony 🙂

How many dresses did you try on before you found it?

My dress was the 3rd dress I tried on… it was over after that!
