Our GL bride of the week is former Miss Scotland, Ellie McKeating. Ellie and Richie got married recently in a fairytale wedding in Provance, France. The beautiful Ellie wore our Ms.Elle gown after gaining much experience with wedding gowns during her modeling career. Read all about this magical wedding in our new blog post. As told by Ellie:
How did you meet your husband?
Richie and I met at a nightclub in Glasgow, Scotland. And six months later, after talking almost every day, he asked me out, and the rest is history!
How did you he propose?
After four years together, he proposed at our first dog walking spot on Loch Lomond and waited until 21:21 because I make a wish at that time every night (21 is my lucky number). We had champagne and macarons by candle light at the loch to celebrate.
How did you find your perfect dress? And how did you decide to buy it?
Having been a bridal model since the age of 15 and trying on close to a thousand dresses, my friends and family were concerned that I would be extremely picky. I, on the other hand, knew exactly which designers I loved so I felt like dress shopping would be a breeze. After making three appointments with my favourite retailers, I found my dream gown, the Ms.Elle! I was lost for words looking at myself in the mirror.
Where was your wedding?
Our entire wedding day took place at Chateau de Robernier, in the Provence region of France amongst the lavender fields and vineyards. Afterwards, we travelled to St.Tropez with our guests to enjoy the Bastille Day celebrations and France winning the World Cup! It was an incredible weekends.

With our social media tag being #AFairytaleInFrance, the fairytale aspect played a huge role in our day. We wanted soft touches of gold and for everything to be very soft and feminine. The only major planning required was getting all of our guests from Scotland to France to enjoy the fairytale!
Which was your favorite part?
My favourite part of the entire day was sitting at our sweetheart table, holding hands as newlyweds and looking out on all of the smiling faces of our closest friends and family having the time of their lives. There’s nothing better than seeing all of the people you adore come together to love and support you on such a special day. My heart was so full at that moment.
How was your experience with the Galia Lahav brand?
My experience with the Galia Lahav brand has been unforgettable. From the moment I saw the dress come out of the bag until the minute I took it off at the wedding, I felt like a princess. My Galia Lahav journey started at a bridal catwalk show in Edinburgh where I was told that one of the retailers I knew had become the exclusive brand retailer in Scotland. The idea of exclusivity definitely made the brand more appealing to me and after seeing the detail and artistry of the gowns in real life I had my heart set on one.
Where did you purchase the dress?
I purchased the dress at Kavelle Couture, in Edinburgh, Scotland.
What did you enjoy the most about planning your wedding?
I have many favourite parts of planning our big day, the main ones being the creating of our wedding website and finding the perfect dresses for my bridesmaids and flower girls!
Was your wedding the way you dreamed it?
Our wedding day surpassed all of my expectations. When you hear brides say ‘it was a dream come true’, I now fully understand what they mean. Looking back, it was the most perfect, fairytale day and reliving every moment in my head will be enough to keep me happy for the rest of my life! It was such an emotional experience and my heart was bursting with love for Richie. He looked unbelievably handsome and I’m so proud to be his wife.
